My self-summary
First off, why do so many guys take self-photos in the bathroom??? Do you not have any friends who could snap a pic of you on the porch, or even a self-timer photo of you sitting on the sofa?

And why is sex such a huge part of so many men's profiles? Does everything have to start with sex?? I like sex, but I donno... Perhaps I'm more private.

Now, if you've gotten this far, you should know, I'll never write to a man first, so if you think I'm interesting, better speak up.

Hugh. Having said that....

I love living in Utah - the pace, the people, the mountains, the communities, my work, friends, all of it! (Well, except for the inversion we are enduring right now :O(.) I'm happy to be here. Born and raised in So. Cal., even lived back there recently for 5 years, but please, don't hold that against me. :O)) I've been back in SLC for three years, and lived here mostly for 21 years.

I can be adventurous and spontaneous, or content at hOMe with a movie and popcorn, a good book or sketch pad. As it turns out, I like camping AND 5-star experiences. India? Count me in. Someplace new? Ok. For me the fun of it now would be sharing it with someone.

Love to dress up or not. Not afraid to break a nail or get dirty. In my closet you'll find orange polka dot sneakers, boots, Doc Martins, low heels, flip flops, cross trainers, Sorels, Uggs & hiking boots.

I like being outdoors, and in summer gardening, especially eating a salad I grew & picked myself! Still eating homegrown tomatoes and basil :D.

Have been blessed with - and am great-full for - an amazing life so far! Have traveled in SE Asia (Thailand, Nepal & India) with a backpack (3 months each time), raised three foster kids, lived in So. Cal - Boston - Salt Lake City - and - Montana, have amazing extended family & friends, had a moment with H.H. the Dalai Lama, held a hummingbird 6 times (even had one spend the night!), spent 2 days with Bishop Desmond Tutu, a day with Chick Hern and have met more interesting and incredible people then I ever imagined!

Haven't had a T.V. in over 10 years, but manage to catch a show or two online.

Looking forward to meeting interesting people and from there, who knows. Open, available and receptive ... anything could happen. But, if I get really honest, my truth is that I would like to include partnership in my world. I love living in Utah and as long as I had this as a home base, I could travel (for work or play) and/or my partner could. Having worked in the film and music business, a dream job could land someone out of town for a stint. Passion and purpose are important. In my world, there's room for all of it, but it starts with partnership and commitment. :D I am pretty together and awesOMe, but wonder what possibilities partnership, passion (in relationship), cOMmunication and love could magnify.
What I’m doing with my life
Living it one day, one minute, one juicy step at a time. I love my life. It is so fun. It intersects at all kinds of interesting places and with all kinds of interesting - fascinating - people. Be fun to share it.
I’m really good at
Just bee-ing.
The first things people usually notice about me
You tell me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Reading - yes. I switch it up from Dr. Suess to Catalyst magazine to Malcolm Gladwell to "Confessions of A Bad Beekeeper - What Not To Do When Keeping Bees, With Apologies to My Own" to "The Life of Pie" to "The City of Joy" to Eckart Tolle, Marianne Williamson, Bruce Lipton and stuff inbetween.

Movies - yes. Prefer light 'n' trite or action to sad and scary. Did recently watch "Limitless" and liked it - especially the last 4 minutes! "Tombstone" is a favorite. "Intolerable Cruelty", "L.A. Story", both hilarious. "Simon Birch" a real hero!

Music - yes. Depends, but not too loud, no rap or acid rock. Seen TSOL twice (long time ago :) and the Blind Boys of Alabama four times. George Harrison, Deva Premal, Stray Cats, Marvin Gaye, Burt Bacharach, Vivaldi (good for your brain) and a big range of mix from 50's to present. Big band! Did love the 80's and even disco. Like live music, especially when I'm backstage. :D Green room is the room for me.

Food - yes. Love food, especially when it's followed by dessert. :D Thai, Indian, sushi, Italian, raw, it's all good!

Tip of the day: Don't believe everything you think. ;)
The six things I could never do without
In no particular order ... Well, except you need air and water and some food to take action on 3-6.
1 Air
2 Water
3 Good food. Healthy-nutritious-fresh! (No to boxes & sugar :)
4 Fabulous friends
5 Love - in all its forms
6 Laughter
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What I'm doing at that moment. I also think about how I can deliver the gifts I was born with and make the most impact on the planet for good. I think about my purpose here on this planet - we all have one, even our pets. I want to play big. What do guys say, "go big or go home." Why not?!!
On a typical Friday night I am
Define typical...

Although over the last few months sometimes it's included having dinner with a friend and being a featured artist in the Sugarhouse Art Walk. Saturday night I went to the RDT Annual Fund Raiser, which was a blast and then on a Monday night a childhood friend who now lives in Berlin and his band rolled through town, so I got to have dinner with he and his parents who drove down from Sun Valley. It was a fun night and a great show! And this Friday night I'm working. Tonight off to Local's First "Celebrate the Bounty."
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
If it's private I probably wouldn't lead with (or "admit") it here and now. Right timing for all things.
You should message me if
If you message me, please say something interesting. :D

"Hi there", is hard - where do I go from there?

"Pathetic we're online at 12:30A Saturday night." Speak for yourself. My life is in no way remotely pathetic!

"Wanna meet for coffee", but there's no picture & no info., no thanks.

So, man up. Say something interesting. Honestly, I don't want to do all the work.
