My self-summary
I'm a shy girl who has lived many places (but really, not that many) and values honesty over everything. I used to define myself by the fact that I haven't had a great chance to get to know and become close to my friends before moving. But now, it's all up to me. While that may be one of the clearest goals I have in my life right now, I am pursuing professional interests that will allow me to continue studying various things.
What I’m doing with my life
-studying publishing
-informally studying languages
-working in IT
I’m really good at
-Finishing the things I start.
-Food happens when I'm around.
-Finding time to do all of the things I really want, even at seemingly inconvenient times (e.g. during the middle of a busy semester).
-Thrift store scavenger hunts.
-Finding ways to get free books.
-Making lists, apparently.
The first things people usually notice about me
I never seem to dress appropriately for the weather. (Mostly, I dress for whatever kind of indoor setting I expect to be in.)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
(Why is all this stuff in one category?)

-Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
-Swann's Way
-Harry Potter #3
-The Tempest
-(Greg Bear collection of short stories:) "Heads" "Sisters" "Shroedinger's Plague" "Dead Run"
-Foundation series (1-4, Foundation and Earth is iffy)
-Nineteen Eighty-Four

-The Matrix
-The Devil's Advocate
-V for Vendetta
-Rose Red

-Buffy the Vampire Slayer
-Digimon (seasons 1 and 2)
-Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex
-Doctor Who

Web Comics
-Questionable Content
-Octopus Pie
-Johnny Wander
-Dinosaur Comics
-Monster Pulse

-House of Waters
-Stevie Wonder
-In a Big Country
-Yesterday and Today
-Little Motel
-Blinded by the Light (and Chopsticks)
-Solsbury Hill
-Tsuki no Uta
-Shinjitsu no Uta
-Shiki no Uta
The six things I could never do without
-A word processor.
-My laptop's self-destruct button. I've used it at least seven times.
-Good food, or the lack of, really affects my mood. (Is that odd?)
-Reciprocity and continuity.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
-How to fix a recipe. (I'm that roommate.) Specifically, blueberry bagels.
-The ridiculousness of grand narratives. They are everywhere.
-Translations and jargon. And time.
-Why are Sign Language and C++ languages if they're not spoken, in a verbal sense? Why isn't Braille there?
On a typical Friday night I am
Studying. Or reading. Or any number of things, really.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm allergic to perfume. And powder. And weed. And cigarettes. And heavy-duty cleaning chemicals. Amongst other things.
You should message me if
you want to talk. I'm up for making friends. If you're interested in dating, please respect my monogamous preference.
