My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
“You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space.”

― Johnny Cash

I am ready to turn the page and start the next chapter of the book. :-) I am not looking for love. I am looking for happiness because love is sure to follow. LOL

I am full of sparkle & compassion.
I genuinely want to make the world a better place.
I love hard.
I practice kindness.
I’m not afraid of the truth.
I am loyal and adventurous,
Supportive, and surprising.
I am a woman.
I am enough.
I make mistakes, but I own them.
And learn from them.
Sometimes I make a lot of mistakes.

I am a one man woman who is stable, independent, & emotionally secure. I am not a serial dater, jumping from one man to the next. I have no time for head games.. All baggage is safely stowed away. I am a glass half full type, and try to see the best in people, and look for the silver lining in situations.

I am open- minded and non- judgmental. I have been living alone for twenty years. So I don’t NEED to be with a partner, or to be taken care of. Rather, I want to find my one forever love to share the rest of our lives together.

About the one I'm looking for...

Since I did not make very good decisions in the past, I have decided to let go & let God guide me along my future path. He will lead to the ONE VERY SPECIAL GENTLEMAN that He has chosen for me. This will be someone who will take the time to become friends first as we peel back the layers of our onions, and make our life long connection.

It is not so much the activity we are involved in, but that we are laughing and enjoying being with each other. LOL. In the end, we will remember how we felt rather than what we did. Unless we did something really wild and crazy!! Whoo Hooo LOL

I believe that the small things in life are what are most important. Things like sharing a beautiful sunset, an inside joke shared by just the two of us, catching a kiss as we walk the boardwalk, cuddling by the fire during a snow storm, cooking a meal together on the grill on the back deck.

But above all, seeing the smile and twinkle in in my partner's eyes ., and knowing that he loves me because he doesn't just tell me, but he shows me (extremely important :-)), and I reciprocate :-). Actions speak much louder than words. :-)

I'd just like to add...

I enjoy antique shops, walking on the boardwalk, museums, zoos, parks, restaurants, traveling, weekend getaways, etc. I am also open to new experiences. LOL

I believe in treating others as I would like to be treated. I value the six main building blocks necessary to maintain a, honesty, monogamy, integrity, respect, and communication.

I would prefer a casual, laid back "first meeting" over coffee or lunch, where we can chat and get to know each other.

I would like our actual "first date" to be much more special....maybe a quiet corner table in a nice restaurant where we can pick up where we left off during our "first meeting".

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am retired and I take each day as it unfolds. There is no need to rush through life not stopping to smell the roses, or marvel at a beautiful sunset, or enjoy a relaxing beverage on the back deck. Or just jump in the car and explore! The freedom to live life one day at a time, and truly appreciate each day is intoxicating! References to substance abuse is purely substance abuse issues here!!! LOL
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being Me!!! :-)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't know......I never asked LOL
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I mostly read the newspaper and articles online. I can listen to any kind of music except rap & heavy metal. As for food, I can find something on almost any menu. I am not particularly fond of Mexican, though. I love shellfish, prime rib or a good steak, and Italian are all good.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My Health which is excellent
Family & Friends
Computer, Phone, & Tablet
Air, Water, & Electricity
A Clear Conscience
Inner Peace
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
All that I am grateful for....especially being reasonably comfortable in retirement.

I think about the chaotic state of the world today. It saddens me that children must think about the dark side of society rather than being able to just enjoy being children.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either with friends or at home
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Do you really didn't think I would divulge such private information here on the internet for all to see??? LOL. All things are open for discussion face-to-face ;-)
