I am intuitive, awkward, and adorable.
My Self-Summary
I'm usually the person who will state the obvious that everyone
else is attempting to avoid. That said, I'm also a bit shy at
first. I'd say I'm an intellectual, a raving feminist, an aspiring
writer, a huge wise ass, an awful speller, a fabulous
lover...
I'm feminine but would by no means describe myself as a lipstick
lesbian. I'm irritable when it comes to shopping and fashion and
you won't find me at [insert some froofroo cosmetics place]
agonizing over which wrinkle cream to buy. I have an old soul and
would like to find my soulmate (and yes I do believe everyone has
one). I love to travel however haven't in a long time and would
like to change that.
Writing is what keeps me going in life. Whether it be a fabulous
day or a retched one from hell, my tendency is to write in order to
survive. Whatever my mood or whatever I'm doing, writing brings me
back to myself. I finally decided that if that's what I love I
should find a school and go roll around in words and have a
fabulous time! So that is what I plan. I've lived a lot of life
thus far and throughout it all grad school has been a hope and
dream.
This is all a bit disjointed and roughed up but that's ok, hope you
got the general idea. I'm quirky and a friend once described me as
"an awkward and adorable girl." I took this as a compliment!
What I’m doing with my life
I work at Barnes and Noble and plan on applying to graduate school
for this coming year.
I’m really good at
Writing...
rationalizing... making myself laugh (occasionally others)... over
using ellipses... ice dancing (past life)...
water
skiing/wakeboarding... fixing stuff (or I like to think)...
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile and (depending on the circumstances) that I blush.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Sister Outsider by Audre Lorde (well, anything by Audre
Lorde)
Cunt: A Declaration of Independence by Muscio
Borderlands/La Frontera by Gloria Anzaldua
Bitchfest
My favorite magazine is Bitch, but I also love Ms. and occasionally
Bust. I'm definitely not into fashion magazines!
The six things I could never do without
A pen and at least a scrap of paper to write on (I count that as
one!), a book, a hair elastic, my sigg water bottle, chapstick, and
um... honestly... sex.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Everything...
On a typical Friday night I am
The occasional date or chilling with a friend...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I'm slightly OCD about shaving my legs.
You should message me if
Your gut tells you to and you love sunday mornings, coffee, the New
York Times, and being in the sunshine!
