I am bookish, musical, and feminine.

My Self-Summary

The last thing I got in the mail was a book of plain manuscript paper. Lately I've been propping my lappy up on my piano and entering in my musical ideas directly, but I plan to tuck the book of 'script paper into my bag and carry it along with me to pianoless, computerless locations.

Locations without pianos and computers may be my own version of hell, unless they're bohemian coffee shops or cabins or tents in the middle of the wilderness.

What I’m doing with my life

Composing up a storm, teaching piano lessons, playing the piano for a church choir, taking sweet advantage of the produce aisle in my grocery store, going to school, and, to be fair and honest, taking a very geeky, very analytical, very passionate turn at keeping my house very, very clean.

I am among the ranks of the polyamorous; I live with my sweetheart and my piano in a quiet neighborhood, and I practice attempting to rattle the shingles off of the neighbors' roofs with my piano playing.

I’m really good at

teaching and composing. I'm terribly wonderful at buying books, too.

The first things people usually notice about me

Since most people meet me in a musical context, probably that I'm seated at the piano and deep in my score. Or flashing wiggly eye brows over the top of the piano at passers by.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I love any sort of fiction that deals with time travel, but I'm also very much into how-tos, histories, and anything that is written with verve and executed with style--high quality scholarship is always a plus with me.

The six things I could never do without

1. piano
2. lappy
3. book to read
4. coffee
5. time spent out doors
6. my friends/family

I spend a lot of time thinking about

how to do something intelligently and well. A few years ago I decided that if I was hell bent on drinking coffee all the time, I should know a little something about coffee. I read ten books on the topic, bought beans from all over the place, and finally settled on Sumatran beans, ground on my counter, and French pressed.

I am prone to this sort of experimentation and decision making. Prove me wrong about the coffee, please. If there's a better way to drink it, I want to know.

On a typical Friday night I am

hanging out with a gathering of dear friends.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Oh, my goodness. And we haven't even had dinner yet!

You should message me if

you like quirky, gentle women and suspect that you could spark my interest.
