My self-summary
My sense of humor is big on comedy. Despite my rampant use of sarcasm, I'm secretly a very nice guy.
What I’m doing with my life
Moved from the East Coast last fall; I just started a new job designing email campaigns for an extremely esoteric company.
I’m really good at
Poaching eggs, witty retorts, good puns, terrible puns, Adobe Photoshop. I don't know if I'd say "I'm really good at" Scrabble, but you'll probably lose if you play me. Also humility.
The first things people usually notice about me
Curly hair, a beard (roughly 60-70% of the time), sharp tongue, quick wit, generally affable, a good listener and easy to talk to.

Many have remarked that I am "SUCH a Sagittarius," but in the spirit of this question, it probably wasn't the first thing they noticed.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Musack: Radiohead, Pavement, Wu-Tang, Pulp, Sonic Youth, The National, Ween, Ariel Pink (would love to hear your thoughts on his new album, if you've listened), Tame Impala, The Replacements, Liars, Grizzly Bear, Caribou, Junior Boys, Reggie Watts, Toro y Moi, The War on Drugs, Thee Oh Sees, Action Bronson. Also a million other bands, especially in the proto/post-punk and 80s/90s/00s indie rock/hip-hop categories.
Podcasts: Comedy Bang! Bang! (if you're a fan then feel free to say "What's Up Hotdog"), WTF with Marc Maron, Doug Loves Movies, Pod F Tompkast, Superego, Todd Glass Show, Mike and Tom Eat Snacks, The Champs, incredibly nerdy improv podcasts.

Books: Vonnegut, Pynchon and David Foster Wallace for fiction, also love books about food, Anthony Bourdain and Michael Ruhlman in particular. Greatly enjoy reading nonfiction about social science and psychology.

Film: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, Fargo, Mulholland Drive, North by Northwest and countless more. Drive, Midnight In Paris, Moneyball and Moonrise Kingdom are my most recent faves. Recently, I've really enjoyed The Master and Wreck It Ralph so my tastes are fairly broad, you could say.

TV: Compulsive sports viewing (go Yankees and 49ers!), 90's sketch comedy like The State and Mr. Show, Breaking Bad, West Wing, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Tim and Eric, Louie, Workaholics, Billy on the Street, Nathan For You.

Comedians: Patton Oswalt, Anthony Jeselnik, Doug Benson, Paul F. Tompkins, I also love (good) long-form improv.

Food: Food is probably the best thing. I like super spicy food, and probably eat too much pork. Modern Mexican and South/SE Asian are my two faves. I think celery is the most vile thing in the world and Italian food is incredibly overrated. Favorite fruits/vegs include: Tomatoes, kale, arugula, pineapple, avocados, eggplant, cauliflower, berries.

Also quite into beer, preferably the high ABV, balanced and flavorful variety. IPAs and strong Belgian beers are my faves.
The six things I could never do without
Genuine human connections, kitchen gadgetry, google maps, good food, sarcastic and witty banter, stimulating/inspiring art/entertainment.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What I'm going to cook for dinner, absurd hypotheticals, whether the person I'm talking to will be able to take a joke or not, what am I possibly going look forward to when Breaking Bad ends.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hopefully doing something fun (seeing music/comedy or going to a new restaurant or bar), though staying in and cooking/watching a film can also be a great end to an exhausting week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a somewhat troubling seltzer addiction, and have a hard time trusting people who don't like spicy food or dogs. Or who have Ayn Rand listed as a favorite author.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 20–35
  • Near me
  • For new friends, short-term dating, activity partners, casual sex
You should message me if
You're smart, witty, have opinions and aren't boring. Only really interested in new friends and more casual romance currently; dating is a bit of a bore to me right now.

I joined this site with the goal of meeting some amazing people, so don't message me if you're not amazing.
