My self-summary
Eventually I may actually think of the perfect and most witty introduction, but that is not today. Am I supposed to use this to make myself seem completely normal and well adjusted (I like sports!) or should I use this space to make myself seem like a unique free spirit who will stand out in the crowd or to make it sound like I'm a dark and tragic soul (I am so broken inside, nobody understands me...except you, of course...)? Some infallible internet tests inform me that I am an INTJ, make of that what you will.
What I’m doing with my life
Continuing to draw breath, which is nice. Not taking pictures of myself, for whatever reason. I also spend about a third of my life unconscious in the dark and good portion of the rest at work.
I’m really good at
I can hit my 9 iron pretty well; I once almost bowled a perfect game (I had a nine spare in the ninth frame), though that was many moons ago; I can build a computer from scratch (well, not in the 'if you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe' sense; and if you recognize the reference, you get points). Correcting one's spelling and grammar mistakes (and I never try to be a dick about it, I'm just trying to help that person learn).
The first things people usually notice about me
Either my nice rack or that I'm rather sarcastic and full of self-deprecating humor (I'm sure I'm deflecting or subconsciously looking for affirmation or something).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Honestly, there's just too much to mention, but recently I've re-watched Buffy/Angel, Arrested Development, BSG, all the Stargates and don't really watch a ton of stuff that's currently on (Walking Dead, Game of Thrones and a few others); I will say Daria will always be one of my top shows. On a negative note, I cannot stand any reality show (aside from mid-90s Road Rules, back when it was just about driving around the country, as that sounds like a ton of fun).

I could create a list of all the books on my bookshelves (2 1/2 floor to ceiling shelves full), but odds are, if it's well written and not too self-indulgent, I'll enjoy it. Lately I've been on a bit of a sci-fi kick (with Game of Thrones thrown in); I don't know if it's just because I've been bored and want some escapism or what. I've always enjoyed Steinbeck and Dumas, as well as Stephen King on the lighter side. I minored in English, so there's also a bunch of pretentious sounding stuff in there, too.

Musically, I can be rather eclectic, but other than rap/hip-hop or electronica, I pretty much can listen to anything, given my mood (not really a big top 40 fan, but I don't hate most of it). I tend to listen to albums rather than singles thrown together into a playlist. Lately I've been listening to Bad Religion a lot, with some old Green Day, Lucky Boys Confusion, Nirvana, Decemberists, The National, Bowling for Soup, Oasis, Beatles and Simon & Garfunkel mixed in (amongst others).
The six things I could never do without
In no particular order:

1.) Electricity
2.) Modern Medicine
3.) Indoor Plumbing
4.) Internal Combustion Engine
5.) The Wheel
6.) The Printing Press (preferably with movable type)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Everything and anything; my mind makes weird connections, kind of like when you're reading wikipedia and click on random links within the articles and somehow end up reading about the cricket population of Malaysia or something equally random.
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually just being lame at home and occasionally out and about if I'm feeling like it.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've never taken a 'selfie', though I believe I have appeared in the background of some other peoples'.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 22–38
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, casual sex
You should message me if
you feel so inclined (it makes me feel special). For some reason, I am really awful at initiating stuff, so have at it. And yes, I am aware that I put casual sex up there; though, not for any reason other than I'm not averse to it, and if someone out there sent me a message asking if I wanted to just grab drinks and have a one night thing, I wouldn't dismiss it out of hand (and be rather impressed with her moxie), but it isn't really my motive for this profile. If you can string together more than one sentence with proper grammar and no shorthand. If you know when to use 'whom' in proper context.
