I am humorous, intelligent, and devoted.

My Self-Summary

Single long enough to be comfortable with myself. I've been told I have a Mona Lisa smile, though I know men go crazy for my carpenter's knees. I love playing poker, even with the "old guys". Good company, great conversation, or a walk in the woods keeps my attention. A google search of myself reveals that I am not wanted by the local police nor the Nobel Prize committee.

What I’m doing with my life

I am earnestly trying to find someone to share my life with. I've raised my children, so I'm switching gears to focus on myself. My career as a general manager for an importing company is hectic, but secure. I'm also trying to extend my hobbies past sock sorting.

I’m really good at

giving great massages. Something about relieving other people's pain & tension makes me feel useful.

The first things people usually notice about me

my obtuse sense of humor.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

"Lamb-The Gospel According to Christ's Childhood Pal, Biff" by Christopher Moore. A great novel about religion that shows what they have in common, rather than what makes them different. "Catch-22", by Joseph Heller. War is another corporation. "Ava's Man", by Rick Bragg. Life is not only what you make of it, but what it makes of you.

"The Princess Bride", "The Professional", or any movie by Quentin Tarantino. Movies based on graphic novels (comic books). I guess I enjoy watching the seamier side with a cause prevail.

Music is a tough one. Lately, I've been listening to crooners, like Sinatra, Bennett, Krall and Fitzgerald. Other times, I can really relate to the "crying, loving, or leaving" of country music. The Irish base of Dropkick Murphys or Flogging Molly may be the next thing on my playlist.

There is only one dish I've eaten that I can honestly say I didn't like. I tend to prefer Mediterranean food though. The spiciness combined all those veggies is making my mouth water right now. Steak and potato is dull.

The six things I could never do without

1. my girlfriends-somebody to drag me to "chick flicks".
2. a warm hoodie-so cozy. But I can dress up.
3. my spice rack-bland food is not in my pallette.
4. the closest Dunkin' Donuts.
5. pedicure-blissful self indulgence.
6. cell phone-ALL my info is in there.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

where I am going in my life. Even at 47, I am amazed at how dynamic life can be even when you're standing still. Also, trying to figure out who put the dust bunny ranch under my bed.

On a typical Friday night I am

not sure what I am doing. There is no "typical" Friday night. I may be at a friend's house for dinner, or going to watch a movie, finding a new place to eat (even alone, you still have to do that), going to play poker, or staying at home with a microbrew.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Mayonnaise sandwich is my comfort food.

You should message me if

a single gentleman in the area still trying to find out if "true love" can be found. If you have a pair of dancing shoes that need to be used, that would be a bonus. Someone who just doesn't have enough laugh lines.
