Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Unashamed dance and computer nerd. Although apparently both appear
to be a bit fashionable now so let me tell you I was doing it
before it became cool. Take that hipsters.
I'm married to the beautiful Vyctryx
and we have an equally beautiful
daughter. My wife and I are polyamorous, although I find that can
be misconstrued as meaning I'm looking for another partner / like
the idea of lots of partners (or any other assumption you may care
I am the sort of person that enjoys life without having to do
anything outlandish. I suppose it's like being a contented sort of
a person, but with more verve.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Probably working far too much. It's a side of effect of loving what
I do, but not one conducive to any manner of social activity.
I'm not generally the kind of person to talk much about what I do
(in a work sense) because it feels like I'm trying to give things
an unashamed plug.
I'd also like to start dancing again – if I could stay fit for more
than two consecutive days. I've mainly been around the ballroom and
latin scene, although I would really love to get involved with West
Coast Swing and Lindy Hop.
Allegedly I can also play musical instruments, although not having
much time it tends to sound more like an attempt to play a musical
instrument; especially with the violin.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Not keeping my profile up to date.
I think I'm a reasonable dancer, matched only by my ability to
One would hope I would be at least serviceable with technology too,
given it's what I'm involved with most of the time.
Talking with unnecessary volume.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Apparently that I'm super friendly. I don't really know what that
means but I have a picture in my head of snoopy with an open grin
and handshake greeting.

Firstly, I'm openly proud that I have read more than one book this
year. In fact it's the first time I've read a book in over 5 years.
I tend to read biographies or autobiographies as real stories are
the best - unless they're boring in which case they're the
Also, people who know me well know I have trouble sitting through
movies. Anything longer than an hour and I get a real case of the
"I could so be doing somethings".
For TV I've enjoyed Glee, Death Note, and Boston Legal, and I also
enjoyed listing those shows in that order. I watch a lot of cricket
and football during respective seasons.
Musically I'm an eclectic, but not in the hipster sense of the
word. I grew up listening to Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode, and New
Order. Recently I've enjoyed Karnivool, Royksopp, and whatever the
exact opposite of Nickelback is. I have a classical music
upbringing too, and love the Russian composers and Mozart. I could
probably talk for hours about music alone.
For food, I will go anywhere that has good coffee within reason.
I'll draw the line at eating concrete but really good coffee is
worth almost anything.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
A sense of humour. Preferably mine, but really most people's will
Something to stop me from becoming bored.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The nature of existence. The nature of thought. Should I be using
one space or two after every full stop?
The latter point probably more than the first two.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Surely this is a trick question. I'm pretty certain I don't have a
typical Friday night.
In any case I get what the question's really asking. These days I
don't really have any major activity I undertake during the ritual
end of working week festivities.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
One time I accidentally the whole thing.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
1. You like my profile. This one isn't actually mandatory. I'm
quite ok with people who don't like my profile messaging me.
2. You aren't a bot. I don't even know if OkCupid has bots, but if
you are bot you have been warned.
3. You're poly-friendly.
You should especially message if you like going for coffee.
