My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Unashamed dance and computer nerd. Although apparently both appear to be a bit fashionable now so let me tell you I was doing it before it became cool. Take that hipsters.

I'm married to the beautiful Vyctryx with one sensational daughter. We are polyamorous although I'm only looking for new friends. I enjoy life immensely, and always have plenty of reasons to laugh.

I also love dance, in what will be some kind of recurring theme in this profile. I've been learning ballroom and latin for 4 or 5 years and am attempting to get back on the ballroom floor again this year. I have also recently discovered west coast swing and was instantly captivated. I'll also be be trying my hand at lindy hop soon. I salsa a little bit too, and tango a little bit less than that.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working on a number of very exciting tech projects including an experimental side venture building arcade machines - a childhood dream.

Trying also to dance more. Ballroom has really been just the occasional social for a few months and I'd love to get back into things. I harbour ambitions of competitive swing dance, and also semi-regular performances.

It's also alleged I can play musical instruments, although I don't get the time very often so it will probably sound more like an attempt to play a musical instrument, especially with the violin.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Not keeping my profile up to date.

I think I'm a reasonable dancer, matched only by my ability to injure myself.

I like to think I'm good with computers and stuff too.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Apparently that I'm super friendly. I don't really know what that means but I have a picture in my head of snoopy with an open grin and handshake greeting.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Firstly, I'm openly proud that I have read more than one book this year. In fact it's the first time I've read a book in over 5 years. I tend to read biographies or autobiographies as real stories are the best - unless they're boring in which case they're the worst.

Also, people who know me well know I have trouble sitting through movies. Anything longer than an hour and I get a real case of the "I could so be doing somethings".

For TV I've enjoyed Glee, Death Note, and Boston Legal, and I also enjoyed writing those shows in that order. I watch a lot of cricket and football during respective seasons.

Musically I'm an eclectic, but not in the hipster sense of the word. I grew up listening to Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode, and New Order. Recently I've enjoyed Karnivool, Royksopp, and whatever the exact opposite of Nickelback is. I have a classical music upbringing too, and love the Russian composers and Mozart. I could probably talk for hours about music alone.

For food, I will go anywhere that has good coffee within reason. I'll draw the line at eating concrete but really good coffee is worth almost anything.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My family.
A compiler.
Some form of a Mac. An iPad counts.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What I'm working on, or what I'm going to be working on next. I think I spend a lot of time visually thinking about it too as people are generally in the loop without me saying anything.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either dancing, or working on some new idea for a game / app I thought of during the week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
One time I almost ran over James Hird.

2. You aren't a bot. I don't even know if OkCupid has bots, but if you are bot you have been warned.
3. You're poly-friendly.

You should especially message if you like going for coffee.
