Just moved to Gainesville on account of wage slavery, and can't
wait to start feeling out the stuff to do and meeting some neat
people. Pretty serious about work at the moment, but I'm trying to
make time for the good stuff in life! I'm always up for any kind of
outdoors, physical activities; I try to make fitness a way of life
as much as I can. That said, I fully appreciate sophisticated
pursuits such as drinking beer and catching every episode of the
Walking Dead.
I sometimes wish I had a "type" of person I'm looking for, but I'm really all over the place. It's been my experience that some personalities just click the right way in spite of what might seem like huge differences, and I love it when that happens! In terms of my own personality... Everybody always says they're easy-going, but I'm the real deal there. I just think that life's *way* too short to obsess over the small things, and if you get caught up in those you'll miss the good stuff. I forgive minor faults when I can, and I actually enjoy it when things don't go quite as planned, because you gotta be ready for anything! I love some intelligent conversation, even though I'll be the last person to promise that I've always got something smart to say. I feel like a lot of people these days are desperately trying to be expert critics of anything and everything around them, but for my part, I find that everything goes a little more smoothly when I seek out the good things rather than highlight the bad. I give people a lot more credit for trying to do something and occasionally screwing it up than for always sitting on the sidelines!
