My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm pretty funny, most of the time... but that is only if you are well read and open to some playful ribbing and sarcasm.

I like to go out, eat good food, drink craft beers and listen to good music. I have an irreverent side but when it comes right down to it, I believe in something undefinable. Let's just leave it at that for now.

I don't drink coffee. I'm lost in a wine shop. I don't really fix stuff. But I am willing to learn just about anything. I like to do my research. I will argue a point to its death. I value creativity, knowledge and respect.

I am pretty sure that when I meet the right person, I will sweep her off her feet. There is a romantic side to me that seems to have been lost these days. I will open your car door, pull out your chair, and listen to you like you are the only person in the room.

If I sound like the cowboy you've been dreaming of, message me.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am an archaeologist. I spend a lot of time digging holes. It is not like Temple of Doom...ever. I take it pretty seriously. There is a lot of history that is being destroyed due to carelessness and ignorance. I work to change that.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I love to cook. I also like to talk. Sometimes, these things mix pretty well. Other times...not so much.

I mentioned that I research things. I think that is one of my strengths. I like to be well informed about the things I talk about. I hope to meet someone who also likes to debate and discuss everything from cuisine to philosophy.

Not sure if this is "really good" or not, but for what it's worth, I can sleep through anything.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Man, you're tall! I get that a lot.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books - Game of Thrones, just started the Expanse series, dry textbooks concerning lithics, iconography, and archaeological theory
Shows - Supernatural, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Elementary, Mentalist, Big Bang Theory, Under the Dome, True Detective
Movies - I tend to like Asian films, particularly those of the action flavor, of course Star Wars(4,5,and 6), Lord of the Rings trilogy, anything by Takaashi Miike
Music - I tend to lean to the heavier side of things but can listen to anything that is good. I have even been known to listen to country music on lower Broad a time or two. Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Clutch, Ghost, Bon Scott AC\DC, Monster Magnet, Kyuss, Tyr and Queens of the Stone Age to name a few.
As far as food goes I'm willing to try just about anything once. I find I am becoming addicted to Five Points Pizza.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Football, Packers and Gamecocks
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I am seriously thinking about grad school. Right now, I would have to say that studying for the GRE is what I spend a lot of time thinking about. But, I also think about travel, food, music and the combination of those three things. I will drive a hundred miles to see a good band and hit a local brewery.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
When I'm on an assignment, I am on the road which means living in hotels and hanging out with the rest of the archeological crew.

Back home I'm generally bumming around East Nashville with my roommate or checking out some local talent at the Exit/In.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I might be too intense.
