My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've had a life-long love affair with Colorado, we're still going strong at 31. I gravitate towards music that fits my mood. I enjoy being enraptured by a great novel. But more than anything, I'm always completely bewildered by nature because it never stops. There is nothing quite like the Wilderness, I think Carl Sandburg captured its essence in his poem of the same title.

I like to spend my time with my family & friends. I love Hikiing as much as I love running rivers. I'd do it everyday of my life if I could. I also enjoy a good mountain bike ride & I love outdoor rock climbing. Snowshoeing is fun, and I snowboard badly as a result of little practice.

Aside from the litany of outdoor pursuits, I'm also a nomad at heart, traveling and exploring new areas of nature is a lifelong obsession.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
While my education is in Political science, I currently work with Children. They keep me on my toes, and their awe of the world is contagious.

Breaking into the world of conservation. I am passionate and I mean business.

Dancing, laughing wholeheartedly & unabashedly, drinking wine, perfecting crispy bacon, and mastering the art of living.

Raising a pup that I love more than I thought possible. Dealing with his "I'm naughty and I'm sorry but I'm soooooo cute face".

Planting a garden in my newly raised garden beds! Just installed irrigation drips for the first time. We fancy.

Becoming a better paddler on Colorado's raging rivers!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
*Learning by watching/doing
*whipping up a meal with whatever is available
*singing in the shower (because it's hard not to sound good in there).
*Capturing pirate flags
*Really anything hands on. Woodworking, cooking, painting, baking, fixing things that are broken, etc. My hands work better than my head sometimes.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My wits and charming smile of course! Height and legs are a close second :)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: A Sand County Almanac: And Sketches Sketches Here And There by Aldo Leopold is one of the most beautifully written books on observations and love of the natural world around us. Untamed: The Wildest Woman in America and the Fight for Cumberland Island by Will Harlan, The Exploration of the Colorado River and it's Canyons by John Wesley Powell, Wild by Cheryl Strayed.

Movies: I find cinema fascinating. I absolutely love French cinema. Foreign movies in general tend to have a different quality and subject matter to them than American movies. Indie flicks, documentaries, anything funny, drama, and sometimes even an action flick or two.

Shows: Archer, archer, archer!
Music: To fit my mood :)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- Friends & Family & my Dog.
- Seasons
- Mountains
- Music
- Laughter
- Rivers
- Good booze.

What? Like seven isn't a good number too?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How rapidly we, as a race, are destroying our planet, and as of late, how quickly we are seeing those effects. And along this same line, how to protect the Wild places that we cannot survive without. The wilderness is a part of everyone, people become calmer, centered, connected when they share experiences in the wilderness.

How good popcorn and hot sauce are together!

Cookies. I spend a lot of time thinking about cookies. And breakfast. And Bacon. Oh baaaaaaccccon!

My puppy, Bondi (Bon-dye) 007. He's a handsome boy & my super adventure sidekick.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out with friends, reading, watching a flick, heading out for a weekend adventure, or really, whatever I please :)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've been trying my whole life not to hate running. We're at a mild dislike right now, and maybe someday we'll even learn to like each other. Just a lil' bit.

Also, I don't dislike cats per say, I am just VERY allergic. I think they're actually pretty cool animals. And kittens? Come on, KITTENS!
