My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a recent law-school graduate who's set up his own solo practice. You get to meet the most interesting people practicing law, and I love hearing the new stories. Living with the fun and occasional terror of being my own boss.

I moved to Minnesota from New York a bit over a decade ago, and I'm never leaving. I like the Twin Cities, and I love the mix of neighborhood and and broad options. I like the fact that I can bike to most of those options - and learn about new ones, all the time.

Lastly, I'm a complete nerd. I read a ton, and am always looking to learn more about history, or art, or science. Science especially. I'd have been a physicist if I were any good at math, and I try to keep very current about the universe and everything in it.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
The law used to eat up a ton of time. Just took the bar exam. Right now, I love it when I can get out to a show or find a new place - especially when it's winter.

And the theatre in this town...

I also wonder what sunrise would look like on Titan. It's just one of those things. As well as the best way to scramble eggs.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I can listen - and I can joke.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm told my eyes are blue, and that I smile sometimes... I also read. A lot. I got a Kindle a few years ago, and I love being able to pull out... most of my books, where-ever I am.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: For Whom the Bell Tolls, The Ground Beneath Her Feet, Wolf Hall, The Quantum Thief, the Baroque Cycle, 1491, The Big Short. Many, many more.

Movies: Casablanca, The Candidate, Thank You for Smoking, The Seven Samurai, Bladerunner, Inherit the Wind, Secretary.

Shows: The Wire, Daily Show, Archer, Parks and Rec, The Thick of It, The West Wing. Dr. Who. And Star Trek. Come to think of it, Farscape and Firefly may be on that list too. While some of this is pretty nerdy let me put your fears to rest - I don't own a sword, nor will I ever. Also not the biggest anime fan either.

Music: Mumford & Suns, Of Monster's and Men, Old Crow Medicine Show, David Bowie, Nas, Smashing Pumpkins, Johnny Cash, and the Beatles.

Food: Anything. But especially Thai or Indian.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The usual things,
The familiar people.
Something to do,
Something to read,
Someone to talk to,
And time to think.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My job brings in me into contact with a lot of people who've gotten dreadfully screwed, and worse, not always through other people's ill will but simple not caring enough not to. It's made me think about somethings in a more emotional way.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Unwinding, out or in.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That once I would have answered that question here...
