My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi! My name is Bill. I've got a dry, sarcastic sense of humor. I try to be optimistic, yet stay grounded in reality, and look for the humor in everything.

I've been vegan for about a year now, and I'm really enjoying it. And it's been a few years since I've had a drink of alcohol. If your diet is different from mine, or if you enjoy a drink every once in a while, don't let my weird rules scare you away. I'm perfectly comfortable around drunk carnivores, and hopefully you'll be just as comfortable around a sober vegan. :)

The third thing that makes me different from your average dude is that I believe in one less God than most people. I'm almost always up for a spirited conversation about religion, but if you put a higher value on Faith than Science, then I hate to say it, but it probably won't be a match made in heaven (pun intended).
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Running. If you're a runner - great, I could use a running buddy. And if not, that's fine too!

One of my goals is to travel more often, even if it's just a weekend trip.

In the last couple of years, I've accomplished some major goals. The one thing that was missing was having a special woman to share in the adventures. I'm fine with being single, but for me, spending time with someone you care about & that cares for you makes everything a bit better.

This is sounding really cliche isn't it? Moving on then...
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Tough-talking inanimate objects.

Photography, or at least I like to think I'm really good. The more complicated the assignment, the bigger the reward when it's complete. I love shooting panoramas.

I really like figuring out what makes people tick, why they think the way they do, and understanding their views. I should have gone into neuropsychology.

And (over)analyzing things.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My face. And, um....clothes. I have both.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Music: Foo Fighters, Norah Jones, 80s rock, 90s alt & rock. I got burned out on country music in college, Cape radio doesn't offer much variety.

TV: Futurama, anything Seth MacFarlane, and almost anything on the Science channel. Also any Nickelodeon show from the 80s or 90s.

Books: My Name Is Bill, Once A Runner..., The Demon-Haunted World, A Brief History of Time.

Movies: Dark City, Ted, Finding Forrester.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Coffee/tea/caffeine in general.
Science/technology (not just electronic things)
Intellectual curiosity
Funny times
Healthy food/exercise
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where to travel next.

How America could put a man on the moon almost 50 years ago, but not today. And how a man can ascend 120,000 feet, jump, and land on the ground on his feet.

Why so many people believe things that to me seem totally batshit crazy.

Science, astrophysics, and how the universe works.

And robots.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Typically going to bed early so I can get up early on Saturday and go on a long run. Otherwise, watching a movie at home, occasionally going out to the casino, or getting dinner somewhere with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I never learned how to ride a bike.

I've never seen Top Gun, and have no desire to see it.

I don't watch sports on tv very often, it's just not my thing.
