I have sown my wild oats and am now ready to settle down with one someone.
I am a patient and empathetic listener which I have learned as a teacher and from my late vocal teacher with whom I studied for a long time.
I can write poetry. Here below a sample of a sonnet I wrote last year:
On The Bridge
Above the purple harbor boldly spans
The mighty bridge with granite grace whose cables,
Support a solid walkway where we stand.
At center point of downward curve we're able
To scan the glowing dusk above the city.
She feels the southern wind caress her hair
The girls beside me turns with bright eyes pretty,
With pensive mien and parted lips so fair...
I tell the tale: the builder's family's striving,
The father's death, the illness of his son,
Whose faithful wife completion hopes reviving,
Could finally rest-the work of years was done.
Cathedral-like the tower's' mighty arch
Reminds us of the spirit's forward march.
I'm also good at collages and watercolors. If you want to see some, I'll send you my website address.
Favorite actors: Dianne Keaton, Maryl Streep, Romy Schneider, Julia Jensch, Nick Nolte, Robert Deniro, Al Pacino, Humphrey Bogart
Singing every day
Reading a wonderful book
Seeing a happy child
Feeling thankful for what God has given me
Saying something funny to make someone laugh
My dream woman
How to make the world a more peaceful place
One thing though: women who are excessively materialistic and make judgements about everything in terms of its monetary value and see men basically as a meal ticket I find unattractive, no matter how pretty they might be; also women who are sexually fast or are excessively dependent on electronic devices such as cell phones, I pods, I phones, etc.
What if I told you I was worth 10 million dollars? Would your pulse quicken appreciably?
The most important question I could ask you: Could you survive on a small island on a big lake in Maine or some other secluded, beautifully natural, spot, with only a small cabin or tent for shelter, and with adequate provisions, for 48 hours, without seeing a soul and without electronics? Would you flip out or not? You should try this experiment sometime if you haven't already. I you didn't, then we could do something similar together. If we both truly enjoyed the experience and didn't flip out, we might be a good match.
