My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm tall and I like watching bad kung fu movies.

Most of my life is spent trying to find ways to entertain myself, which occasionally (but not as often as I'd like) includes outdoor activities.

Right now I'm going to school for Computer Science, with the eventual intention of programming video games (a continuation of my childhood fantasy of "making games")
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Programming various things, roaming the city, constantly debating whether or not I want to try stand-up comedy, rocking the casbah and/or the night away.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
jigsaw puzzles, silly puns, and knowing mildly interesting facts (thank you QI).

For example, the center of the galaxy smells like rum and tastes like raspberries.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
One time, a very small woman tapped me on the leg many times requesting my help picking flowers. She called me "tall thing", so I guess some people notice my height.

That's kind of a big question, but I'll do my best

I'm forever underlining bits of Tom Robbins books, and I love all the "classic" comedies (Catch-22, Hitchiker's Guide, etc.). I've been trying to read more sci-fi recently, and would appreciate any recommendations (so far I've really enjoyed Hyperion and Stranger in a Strange Land)

I love movies, so I could go on and on, but to keep it short, I really love comedies that border on absurd, and anything that has the ability to change my worldview. A few of my favorite directors are Jacques Tati, Mike Leigh, Sam Raimi, Terry Gilliam, Pedro Almodovar, and Hal Hartley.

I've been on a bit of a British kick with tv recently. Watched Black Adder, Peep Show, and Black Books. Otherwise I love all the HBO shows, Arrested Development, and I'm constantly keeping up with British quiz shows.

As for music, I've quite honestly found something I've loved in nearly every genre. I've been going 90s recently, and have listened to a ton of REM and Pavement.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Breakfast burritos
The smell of approaching rain
Random bouts of creativity at 3AM
A nice cup of tea on a chilly autumn morning
Singing loudly in a car with the windows down
Pants fresh out of the dryer
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
astronomy, ideas for movies that will never get made, the human condition.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Passionately discussing which comic book characters would win in a fight with friends over a pint.

Also, I've recently started to do more outdoor activities, like an early evening hike, or riding my bike.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
In an act of defiance against the imperial system, I switched the distance measurements on this site from miles to kilometers, and now I have no idea how far away anyone is.
