My self-summary
I've travelled Europe, unlocked the secret chemistry of life, fought for valor and honor, winked the unblinking eye, and won one or two bar trivia nights.

Although I like to imagine myself as some epic figure, I'm really just a guy getting by the best he can, having some fun, and exploring the finer things in life as I do so. I've got a good job, a good brain, and the best friends anyone could ask for.
What I’m doing with my life
-- Tinkering with the building blocks of life as I pursue my PhD.
-- Perfecting my golf swing.
-- Studying Historical European Martial Arts.
-- Striving to run farther than last week.
-- Reading all the good books I can get my hands on
-- Soaking up everything great about SoCal.
I’m really good at
Being skeptical and rational.
Turning everything into a scientific experiment.
Fencing and Renaissance Martial Arts.
Almost constantly day dreaming.

Putting things off 'till tomorrow. (I really need to work on this last one)
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably, my fair blond hair, I've had girls tell me they would kill to have my hair color, I'm not sure why.

On a typical Friday night I am
Something to unwind, like grabbing a beer or a show at the local watering hole.
Or perhaps something extremely geeky, like RPGs and board games with friends.
Or something nerdy, like working late in the lab.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am not overly fond of the ocean. I can take it or leave it.
I grew up by a lake in a valley with mountains on either side. Just something about the ocean's vastness, depth, and a flat horizon that creeps me out a bit.
