I'm a local boy, down to earth, open minded, independent, silly, and ambitious.

After spending a few years away, I'm now very much settled in DC, appreciating time with family and friends, and taking advantage of what this city has to offer.

I did the Peace Corps in a country you probably have never heard of (Suriname), lived in Israel for a few stints, and led service-learning programs abroad for U.S. and Canadian college students.

I enjoy being active, biking around town, playing basketball, fishing, and simply walking around. I also love a good conversation, stirring the pot, and being mischievous.

I'm in my last semester of law school, going part-time, and doing legal work with an international organization.

Exploring DC and trying new things, traveling, and a few go to dishes.

Perhaps my beard and glasses. I'm also not very tall.

Books: 100 Years of Solitude and Grapes of Wrath are classics. I like a few books about to Suriname, anthropology, Maroon history, and Jewish history. And if you lived abroad for a few years, I recommend Whiteman by Tony D'Souza.

Movies: Baraka and the Goonies.

TV Shows:I don't have a TV, but lately I've been watching more on Netflix. Breaking Bad, Homeland, Mad Men, and Walking Dead are all entertaining. Any recommendations?

Radio Shows: The Moth, This American Life, 99% Invisible, Radiolab, Savage Lovecast, and A Way With Words.

Music: Goes through phases and lately have been listening to Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, the Bees, and Bob Marley never gets old.

Food: I love all food, especially home cooked ethnic food.
