I am Goofy, Intelligent, and Passionate.
My Self-Summary
I'm currently living with an old roommate from college and working
before applying to medical schools for 2010. I am a professional
singer, I enjoy drinking and brewing beer with my roommate and I am
currently looking for some new people with whom to meet and explore
New Haven. I'm smart, but I'm also quite goofy when I'm comfortable
with someone. Right now I'm just looking to go out and have a good
time.
What I’m doing with my life
I recently turned 24 and I am working at Yale University as a
researcher in Neurology before applying to medical schools. I am
starting soon as a volunteer at Connecticut Hospice doing patient
care which I am excited about - apparently you can hear some pretty
neat and insightful stories from the patients there. I am also
applying to join Peace Corps so I can attempt to save the world!
I’m really good at
Music, beirut, parallel parking, writing, coming up with creative
ideas, problem-solving and thinking "outside the box."
The first things people usually notice about me
I dunno. Maybe my laugh - you know when I think something is really
funny. Actually, people probably notice my clothes and what I look
like first. There we go - stupid question. Next!
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Spicy food! Seriously, I love hot foods for some reason ever since
I started eating the hot sauce at C.O.Jones a year ago. I like
funny movies and horror movies the best. Nothing thrills me like a
good zombie movie - although I think it's just a phase. I like
pretty much most music - even country sometimes. I enjoy most books
equally unless they suck, in which case I don't bother to finish
them.
Right now I've been reading a host of doctor books. I enjoy reading
about medicine and when things go wrong and what not. I also like
picking up a good text book on something I have never learned about
and start reading to learn new things. I also like reading books
about bodily functions. Most recently I have read from this
category, "What's your poo telling you" (a riot!) and "Who cut the
cheese?: a cultural history of the fart." I recommend both.
The six things I could never do without
Food (and water obviously), friends and family, my home, sex, my
goofy personality, and definitely the weekend.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I like thinking about what new hobbies to start. I'm pretty set on
building my own distillation apparatus and making my own flavored
vodka.
On a typical Friday night I am
Chilling with the roommate with a drink in my hand watching a show
or movie - maybe going out for drinks if it's not too cold outside.
Some weekends I like to pack it up and go on a road trip with the
roommate to New York to visit college friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I have always tended to be shy, but I think over the last few years
I have done a pretty bang-up job breaking out of my shell.
You should message me if
You live in the area, you are fun and energetic, and you are
interested in meeting up somewhere for drinks and entertaining
conversation. Oh, and bonuses if you play guitar hero and wonder
why Arrested Development ever went off the air.
