My self-summary
My name is Björn and I study textile design in Melbourne, but I'm born and raised in Sweden. I've just returned to Australia after having spent an exchange semester in India and been home in the north for a while.

I reckon I'm pretty cool, I've learnt to relax a lot more, to allow life to sweep me away, though nudging it in the general direction that I want it to go. I talk a lot and hum or sing when it's too quiet. I love wine, dance and textures. Textiles, exposed wood, steel and cardboard.

I am creative but practical when I can. I'm never completely satisfied with my own efforts and I try to be 'gooder' with each new day. I fight for what I want if I want it enough and I try to be more honest, true and righteous. I believe in being informed from both words and experience and acting as an informed and empathetic individual for the better of most. But I also believe in putting yourself first, you can't help others if you can't help yourself.
What I’m doing with my life
I study Textile Design and travel far too little. India was cool, I've been home in Sweden for a few months and now it's back to Melbourne.
I’m really good at
I have no idea - I mean, I'm good at a lot of things - but REALLY good at? I'm good at talking when I get genuine respons. I'm pretty good at complaining. I'm a great self-critic. But I try to take less and less things too seriously - especially myself - so who cares?
The first things people usually notice about me
Tall, blonde, with a Swedish accent. Of course, at home, I'm just plain normal. Perhaps too loud.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Well, I don't read enough - but my favourite book through all time is probably 'The Zahir' by Paulo Coelho. Obviously I love all Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Narnia too.

Love Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. Really thought Zero Dark Thirty was incredibly capturing. Loved the Great Gatsby and I give it a year was hilariously awkward.

Music is my everything. Without music and being creative I would not exist. Eternal lover of Mumford and Sons and Florence + the Machine. Have been listening lots to renditions of Olle Adolphson tracks lately - I think because it was just midsummer at home - and obviously support all Swedish music - Laleh, Lykke Li, the Hives. Dad, and consequently me, loves Bruce Springsteen, the Rolling Stones and Peter LeMarc.

There's so many shows. But I've been trying to watch less TV lately - aided by the summer break in the US - so for the moment I'll just mention the Graham Norton Show, SYTYCD, Game of Thrones, the Amazing Race.

Food I'm really bad with. I can't cook, I hate cooking for and by myself. I try to eat varied although I don't really fuss. I just don't have an established preference.
The six things I could never do without
My Mac, a sketchpad, food, water, a selection of alcoholic beverages, my family (which includes my friends). 6 1/2 things.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What the next page in my life story will be, what I want it to be, and how I can make it better than the last. I guess I live somewhat in the future, but I never plan for longer than 6 months. I just find it important to think forward because it makes you consider what is today and how to grow, reach more, learn more and become more.
On a typical Friday night I am
Varies - during semesters I am almost always studying. When I get the chance I just like to do stuff - anything! Go to gigs with friends, drink and dance, hang out at home if everyone else are busy. Last week I went to the ballet! That was fantastic! If any ballet (or any kind of) dancer wants to chat me up I'd be more than keen!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Obviously I wouldn't admit it here. But I think one thing that's worth mentioning is that I am scared of being alone. And I'm scared of being hurt. Frankly, I don't have the time either.
