My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm originally from New England (proud of Bernie Sanders/Elizabeth Warren and love cross country skiing). I like beer, parks, public transit, motown and dry cynical humor. I'm social and outgoing, but also introspective and analytical. I have a bunch of hobbies and groups of friends and am happy to be balanced.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Like a lot of this town, medicine. I majored in Politics and did the Washington stint before switching careers. I am politically/current events minded with a scientific bent.

Other life goals, staying on top of my New Yorker subscription (failing) seeing Louie CK live (his shows always sell-out before I get a chance), and going caving again in West Virginia.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Urban exploration and in general finding opportunities for novel experiences.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
TV: The Wire, Party Down, Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Arrested Development, Louie, Transparent, Broad City (I share my first name with Ilana Glazer)

Books: Country Driving, The Corrections, The Handmaid's Tale, The World According to Garp, Carl Sagan's writings, This is How You Lose Her, The Looming Tower, 1984

Movies: I take full advantage of living so close to the Charles. Boyhood, Her and the Imitation Game are some of my favorites from the past year or so.

Podcasts: Like everyone else, had a major Serial addiction, really love Radiolab, TAL, and others.

Music: Mirah, The Velvet Underground, Sam Cooke, The Roots, Rilo Kiley, Cut Copy, TV on The Radio

Food: Thai and BBQ come to mind

l like cooking projects. I worked in a microbiology lab where my boss taught me to make sauerkraut, and I've been wanting to try another batch. Coffee and cheeses are best strong :)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My cast-iron skillet is used daily, I like day/weekend trips, and I love popcorn more than anyone else.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Medicine, health disparities, technology, the news, science/evolution, friends here and scattered across the country, new restaurants and/or recipes to try.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I take Dan Savage's advice to heart.
