I am marvelous, spectacular, and fantastical.
My Self-Summary
I go to UW, and finally graduate this Spring. I'll be back in
school after a year off while my medical school applications go
through. I like science and beer.
Aside from that, I've gotten pretty into politics lately (following
them, I'm not really the activist type - I just like to be
informed) and am very liberal. Not really the hippie style liberal
- I do like to be realistic - but I follow politics pretty closely
and try to stay educated about it. I promise that I won't bother
you about it if you don't like politics. I will, however, probably
not like you (at least not a whole lot) if you identify yourself as
"conservative." Sorry, just being realistic. If you're super
religious we probably won't mesh very well either. I'm not
anti-religion or anything, but the fact that religion plays no role
in my life seems to upset some people. Chill out, dudes.
So that's me. I also really love Mitch Hedberg, Zach Braff, and
Michael Jackson. Oh MJ. :(
What I’m doing with my life
Schooling, tutoring on the rare occasion, and doing gene expression
research.
Living in a house 3 blocks from Greenlake, and enjoying it
immensely. We have a fucking vineyard.
I’m really good at
Almost everything! Not all that great at just about anything
though, tear.
The first things people usually notice about me
My height, probably. I'm tall.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books:
Shogun (favorite), Song of Ice and Fire series, Annals of the Black
Company series, Foundation series, Dune (I read them all, but only
the first one was worth it), The Hobbit + Lord of the Rings
trilogy, American Gods, Harry Potter, I Claudius. I've never really
gotten into the popular stuff like Vonnegut and such, but then
again I've never tried. I'm always accepting suggestions from
people with good taste.
Movies:
American History X, Requiem for a Dream, Old Boy, I Love You Man,
Old School, Anchorman. Uhh, I basically seem to like really
depressing movies and really ridiculous comedies. I'm not much of a
movie critic, to be honest.
Music:
65daysofstatic, Against Me!, Annuals, The Arcade Fire, Arctic
Monkeys, The Asteroids Galaxy Tour, At the Drive-In, The Avett
Brothers, Band of Horses, Black Kids, Bloc Party, Bright Eyes,
Built to Spill, Chester French, Cloud Cult, Common, Coldplay, Death
From Above 1979, Deer Tick, The Decemberists, Desaparecidos, The
Dodos, Electric Six, Elliot Smith, Fiona Apple, The Flaming Lips,
Fleet Foxes, Foo Fighters, The Format, Friendly Fires, Fun.,
Ghostland Observatory, Grizzly Bear, The Harlem Shakes, Interpol,
Iron and Wine, Jay-Z, Jets to Brazil, Journey, Justice, Justin
Timberlake, Late of the Pier, Lil Wayne, MIA, Mason Jennings,
Metric, MGMT, Michael Jackson, Miike Snow, Mika, Modest Mouse,
Moondoggies, Muse, Noah and the Whale, The Noisettes, Of Montreal,
Okkervil River, Owl City, Passion Pit, Pinback, Queen, Radiohead,
Ratatat, Ray Lamontagne, The Shins, Shiny Toy Guns, Silversun
Pickups, Snoop Dogg, Snow Patrol, Spoon, Stars, Styx, Sufjan

Scientists, Why?, Yeah Yeah Yeahs
The six things I could never do without
I could do without this question.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Politics and social (justice) stuff, future stuff, science stuff,
music stuff, and sometimes other stuff.
On a typical Friday night I am
Most likely with friends in Capitol Hill, at a show, or around
Greenlake.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I fear dolphins.
You should message me if
You care about something, or if you like cats more than dogs.
Apparently that's weird, but I think sometimes it says a lot about
people. Go cats!
