My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
[UPDATED: Tues., Aug 12, 2014]

[This couple, right here! They seriously help define the whole point behind marital relationships.]

What follows is a revised, brief snap-shot of "who I is." For a much more detailed picture, I invite you to check out my more detailed profile.

In short (on the serious side), I'm a "fundamental" Christian (specifically Protestant, as that does matter)...a Christ-lovin' Christ-follower who believes that life in Him is not all fun & games, but rather death to self in exchange for eternal life.

Believe it or not, though (on the less serious side), friends would likely describe me as a naturally comedic fella with pretty decent listening & conversational skills. Which means that, yes, I do also believe in having fun & playing games.

Originally from the Twin Cities; now happily residing in "El-Lay."

Also, I favor beards, bikes & boom-sticks. <(}C:

No single piece of our mental world is to be hermetically sealed off from the rest, and there is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign over all, does not cry: 'Mine'!” ~Abraham Kuyper (1837–1920) (Yeah...I like to quote dead guys.)

For those non-Christians who are disinclined to read on, please allow me to leave you with a parting thought: sometimes, Christians claim their Faith defines them. I would posit that (in light of the truth so eloquently stated above) Christianity actually defines you, too. Feel free to ask me about that.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Obviously, a good chunk of it was spent answering 700 questions on this site! (Tried to focus mostly on the ideological, for the sake of "matching.")

More seriously, though: we can either discuss this personally, or you can see my alternate profile (linked above) to give your mind's eye a bit more to feast upon. <(}C:

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Coupla brief words for this space (see my other profile for other important stuff):

1) The whole "Christian" thing must deeply resonate with you. If your profile lacks any meaningful reference to the Deity/Lordship/Supremacy/Majesty of Jesus Christ (we both know 'God' could mean anything), then, there are no romantic possibilities for us (currently). If we do happen to connect, be prepared to share how you've been living out this crucial reality in the context of a local church family. (Folk from Lifechurch.TV & the like need not apply.)

However, I'd be very pleased to field any honest inquiries about why I deem the above to be such an important thing -- be you Believer or non-. <(}C:

2) Though not draconian about it, I do prefer to initiate. (It's a man thang.) This means that, while I sincerely welcome your "hellos," I would ask...no, beg that you not take offense in the absence of any response on my part. I'm pretty intentional with my use of this site & don't want to waste time for either of us.

Finally...for you ladies who may like what you see, minus the age: don't be afraid of maturity. (Sadly) thanks in no small part to our society's encouragement of "prolonged, adolescence," 40 is the new 30.

Candor is best, don't ya think?
