...at least for a while.
I don't want to bore you with all the details on how great I am. We should just meet. ;)
I'm positive, I'm a giver and I'm looking for someone who is sweet. I don't mean sicky sweet where you put everyone else's needs before your own. I mean someone who is thoughtful and has a calming energy/nature. Please come from a place of love, not fear. If you are a hypocrite, have walls up, and are stubborn we won't get along. If saying thank you feels like you are lowering yourself then we will not get along. Humility is a strength, not a weakness. I am respectful and I would like it in return. If insecurity drives you and you spend lots of time trying to hide that, then we won't get along, either.
I'm from NYC and have been in Portland since 2010. I love trying new things, eating at great restaurants, food carts, (I just discovered one from Guam! Guam food!! Who wants to go?) going on adventures. I love walking the line of safe and uncomfortable. In other words I like to be taken out of my comfort zone.
I love to travel. Ive been to Amsterdam, Paris, Southeast Asia (4 countries), Greece, Central America, Turkey. I tend to travel pretty consistently and always find time for it. I just came back from Guatemala in August 2012 and last November I was in Turkey.
I'm fun, creative and funny. I like doing different things that aren't run-of-the-mill.
Even though I'm 42, I feel like I'm only 41 and I have lots of energy. I look young and I feel young and I take great care of myself by practicing yoga and weight training. I hope you take care of yourself and are relatively healthy, its not a priority that you are in tip top shape. As long as we can do some physical activities together and run away from zombies.
What I'm looking for is someone who has put in work on themselves. You aren't perfect but you don't try and hide your flaws, knowing that everyone finds them out eventually. This means you are open. I want someone adventurous who will DO/GO/TRY almost anything. Life is about doing everything before you go. It would be cool if you have a bit of a nerdy/geeky side. I'm a part-time closet geek. I've never been to a Comic Con but want to go to people watch. I'm looking for someone who is classy and has taste in things and knows the difference between things. I also realize that "good taste" usually just means "different taste" but there can be obvious differences between things like Cha Cha Chas and Racion for example. Oh and City Grill is total crap by the way. Its not good or fancy. So is VooDoo donuts. Go to Blue Star Donuts- you're welcome. I'm certainly not snooty but I think I have pretty good taste, and style. 20 years of soaking up NYC has taught me a few things.
I'm totally down to earth, approachable and nice, but I'm not a chump and I know how to take the lead. You should at least be able to appreciate and like art. I love it and make it but I won't push it down your throat. I find there's a keen difference between someone who loves art and someone who could care less about it. Those who love it usually live a life that is not boring and is full of passion and wonder.
