My self-summary

I have been described as hyper-rational. Ha! That is true some of the time I guess, like when I'm at work or hungry. I can be silly sometimes, like uh, everyone. If you need silly all the time, maybe I can get you some silly putty. Or silly string. Or maybe provide your own silliness like an adult!

I don't care for the intro/extrovert distinction. Everyone has certain realms in which they are extroverted, and some in which they are not.

My default state is multiamory (Latin etymology, yo). I would put my status as "available" but they seem to have removed that option. I like the freedom to go on dates but I will of course continue to see those who are fun, smart and boundary-respecting. I prefer emotionally-mature, intellectual, humble, "unconventionally attractive" (e.g. curvy, short hair) people of the fairer sex. My ideal situation is 2-4 regular date friends.

I'm big on environmentalism. I, uh, make solar panels for a living... I have tattoos of a tree and the Earth for a reason. I respect people who recycle. I admire people who plant trees.

Here are some things I like:
* Company (call it dating if you like)
* Cuddling
* Nature walks
* Games
* Camping
* Philosophy
* More cuddling
* And sex of course, with the right people.
What I’m doing with my life
Making solar panels. I've been at my current job for almost 4 years. On my weekends I chill out and do things like hiking Mt Tabor, getting drinks with friends, karaoke, getting the olive oil ice cream from Salt & Straw, browsing Saturday market., etc.

If I won the lottery I would spend some time organizing a company that would go around planting trees. Also I'd open a restaurant/bar and commission new films in the Serenity and Evil Dead sagas. And uh get a house with a soaking pool, duh.
I’m really good at
Taking long naps at the most inconvenient times. Eating burgers without putting them down. Rotating objects in one hand. Having a cat. Petting cats. Rotating a cat in one hand. No, not really. I'm actually quite bad at that.

Treating people like people regardless of what they look like.
The first things people usually notice about me
Thin. Big eyes. Speaks like the wind beneath a raven's wings at midnight. Simply turns left on Burnside. Eyebrow control? Or maybe just my confidence and dimples. How did he eat that burger so fast? Where does it all go?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm a writer and I often get too excited about my own stories to continue caring about whatever book I'm holding... That said, I've read Nietzsche, Kant, Hume, Hegel, Aristotle, Heidegger and Descartes and found merit in each. I like Nietzsche's doctrine of eternal recurrence, Kant's maxim of universal actions and Descartes's Leviathan. I definitely disagree with Descartes about animals not feeling pain. If you kick a dog, you're the worst. Novels? Love sci-fi/fantasy. Some themes I like are epistemology, existentialism, space travel, time travel, epidemiology, human nature, clashes of extremes, war, deception, caste systems and underdogs.

I generally don't watch TV unless there is a really compelling show like BSG or Sherlock. I suppose I do love nature documentaries though!

There are many great kinds of food. I am not vegetarian, but I don't have to eat meat all the time. Saburo's (sushi), Los Gorditos and Muchas Gracias (Mexican), Pastini, Killer Burger (especially the peanut butter pickle bacon burger, yum!), and Me Kha (pho) are some of my faves.

Movie and music lists would be too long.
The six things I could never do without
Aside from the environment, which everyone thinks is cliché:

Freedom from limitations
Cheese (#1 reason I'm not vegan)
And yes the environment duh.
Renewable energy! :)
My cat Sheik
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Sex and rock & roll. Really. Who needs drugs when you've got those? Psh. And trees. Where does one plant a tree? Seems like most public places around here get mowed a lot. A given song, and whether I could pull it off at karaoke. My next nap, and whether I will be taking it with someone :) How long has it been since I ate? What should I order the next time I go to Muchas Gracias?
On a typical Friday night I am
Working. Ask me about Sun-Tues instead :) During my work week I'm pretty worn out unless someone wants to get a delightful breakfast at Genie's or somewhere close to inner SE. Luckily I only work 3 or 4 twelves a week. Basically, I'm free half the week and crunch-mode the other half. Sun-Tues are negotiable for fun times :)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I was named after a seal. Kind of. Well, ok, I was named after my maternal grandfather. Then I was redubbed after a seal. I'm serious.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 22–37
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, casual sex
You should message me if
If you want to play games or make crafts or go on a hike or go camping or grab a burger and/or beer or make out or just cuddle or whatever, really. If you are emotionally mature and things click between us I may be down for more. Protip: tell me which of my pics is your favorite and why!

I'm guessing my response frequency is green. Even if I have no intention of meeting someone, I think it's common courtesy to respond when someone tries to start a conversation! I'll try to put a similar amount of effort into my response as you do into your message :)
