I am Blonde, Blue eyed, and Full figured.

My Self-Summary

I'm laid back, mellow, but with an occassional spurt of Irish temper. If you like a spirited political debate, I'm your lady. I cry at sad movies and love to laugh at silly animal footage. I find the rain romantic, must be my
Oregon roots. I was an English Major in college and have written some poetry and a short scifi story (non published, never submitted) I enjoy
reading and movies. James Patterson is my favorite suspense author and
Robert Ludlum is a close second. My guilty pleasure is romance novels, the racy kind, no sad, kleenex requiring Danielle Steele for me. Give me a spicy Jackie Collins, Johanna Lindsey, or Bertrice Small anyday. I'm very independent, probably because I was widowed at an early age and soon learned to fend for myself and my son, but we grew up happy anyway.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm semi-retired, just work a few days a week. The other days of the week I spend my time walking my little dog Bentley, reading a good mystery novel, watching a day time soap, or anthing that comes up.
I would like to do more traveling. If you'd like to take a trip with a
lady companion then I'm your gal. Please no camping, got burned out
on that when I was younger. I prefer the Hilton with hot showers and room service. Give me the creature comforts, not the creatures.

I’m really good at

I'm really good at guessing where a movie or book plot is going and I love
to mentally re-direct some movies/books as I see fit, but poor casting is
probably my biggest pet peeve. I would like to be better at dog training,
but I'm afraid my dog has me trained. It may be time to get a book on
dog training, but I haven't taught my dog to read yet. LOL

The first things people usually notice about me

People usually notice my thick blonde hair when I enter a room and before
long I'm being regaled by every blonde joke they've ever heard. Lucky for them I have a sense of humor and actually enjoy most of the jokes. Did you ever wonder why it's politically incorrect to tell ethnic jokes, but
blondes are still fair game?

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I love French food and Sea food, there's nothing like escargot and lobster tail, but only on occasion. My staples are salad and I think I'm a popcorn addict. I enjoy a good action adventure movie and romance comedy is
always something I'm up for. I enjoy old time rock and roll and blues.
Cajun music puts a smile on my face too. I always have Edith Piaf in my car for enjoying gridlock. I've recently started getting in to Country.
I enjoy anything from Clint Black to Sugarland.

The six things I could never do without

I can't do without a good book to read, or my dog Bentley, or a good sunscreen for my fair skin, girls night out, phone calls from my son, and
homemade popcorn.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Why people make the choices they do. It often seems like people are their own worst enemies. I often wonder why people get into politics,
then don't do what they were elected for. I wonder why people are so
afraid to spend a moment alone and then I wonder if I spend too much
time enjoying my own company, so here I am reaching out.

On a typical Friday night I am

Friday night is when I meet my favorite gal pals at our local saloon to hoist a few and catch up on each others lives. We put some music on the juke box and dance from the waist up on the comfort of our bar stools. I miss the days when I was on the dance floor from 9 until 2.
I daydream about being on Dancing with the Stars, then laugh at the
image it presents of a chubby blonde lady trying to do the splits.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I sometimes hold my hairbrush like it's a mike and sing by myself. I can't
sing in public, because my friends beg me not to, since I'm tone deaf.
I used to sing in the shower but my dog started barking afraid that it
was Psycho all over again and I was being murdered.

You should message me if

You have a good sense of humor and are not afraid to laugh at yourself.
If you enjoy kicking back with popcorn and a movie and aren't afraid of
a little white dog hair getting on you pants now and again. He's short so
the dog hair will stay below your knees. We can always go out and avoid the dog hair altogether.
