Twenty years removed from my mid-western upbringing, I’ve lived most of my adult life in San Francisco and the last seven years in Los Angeles. I absolutely love living in LA, most of the time.

Music:
This list would take me a week to list everything. I listen to lots and lots of music. Spotify might have actually made me consume more music than I thought possible. As a musician I can usually find something redeeming in almost everything, although I would say that if your musical tastes consist of numerous American Idol winners, "country" artists from the last twenty years, and artists whose live act consists of intricate dance numbers and lip-syncing to pre-recorded tracks, I probably can't relate.

Food:
I try to keep things mostly vegetarian, but on rare occasion will have a steak and do like sushi although I have serious misgivings about what overfishing is doing to the planet. I wish I could cook better.

Oh, and Guinness, but not as much these days

We could all get by with a lot less stuff.
