My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hello. I took an extended break from OKC (Organized and leader for Grand Canyon 18 day river trip; two new music projects, and a bit of weariness regarding the goal-oriented romantic endeavor,) but I thought I'd check in for a little while.
How have you been?
If I must extract and summarize myself here (yes, I suppose it would be helpful,) there would be an apparent string of paradoxical characteristics: an old fashioned iconoclast, a deeply spiritual scientist, a stand-up comedian aspiring buddhist-philosopher, an intrepid adventurer who is also a homebody, a shy life-of-the-party, a musician who stayed in school and became a physician, a lone wolf looking to the horizon for his life-mate she-wolf. Desire is fraught with hazard, and yet, here I am, throwing the proverbial message in a bottle into the sea.
While our relationship would not be open, our hearts, minds, and spirits would be. We will be greater than the sum of our parts, and our path will be richer as a result of our union.
I have no debt, own my home, have minimal baggage, and am trying my best to cultivate equanimity and savor-faire.
In answering the multitude of questions posed on the site, I have included many comments, thus, if you are so inclined, other aspects of who I am are available to be discovered.
Thank you for your interest, and best wishes for your happiness.

Photos are from 2013 and 2014.

PLEASE NOTE: To save everyone time:
Be reasonably fit, youthful (this is not about chronology,) and open to life's possibilities.
Do not be zealous, extreme, or dogmatic about things.
Please have photos posted with your profile. Thank you.
Be single, kind, and without guile.

All the best!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
After 25 years of dedication to an extremely demanding medical specialty, I have just retired, to hereafter dedicate myself to medical volunteering, music, adventure, travel, and becoming an itinerant aesthete.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
For me: drumming, problem solving, planning adventures, SCUBA diving, staying focused.
For others: Inciting laughter, sharing bounty, creating enthusiasm, demonstrating friendship and affection, taking the wheel and driving long distances, leaving the seat down.

Too many to list. I have over 4000 CDs, 600 DVDs, 1200 books, and a cellar full of vintage wine. Art House movies, late night Jazz, Rock n' Roll, small bistros, BBQ with friends, playing on stage or dancing in the kitchen with answer to all of this is, "Yes."
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Family and friends
Love and Laughter
Immersion in Nature (hiking, camping, rafting, SCUBA)
Spiritual Path

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Most everything, as well as the nature of thought itself.
(I got tired of thinking about joining OK Cupid, and just went and did it.)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either performing music or watching live music. At home enjoying the comforts of my domicile. Dining with friends. Reading a good book. Staring at the stars (when it's not cloudy.)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That's private, isn't it.
