What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working a ton, but grateful for a career in natural foods that feeds my soul as well as my children. Been in the Twin Cities for about a year (Asheville, NC for the 8 yrs before) and I feel like I've only begun to explore the opportunities for fun.
My children are older, so I am usually able to get out for drinks, dinners and live music when inspiration strikes.
I'm also trying not to take the warmer weather for granted- riding my bike by the creek, working in my garden, grilling any/everything and sipping bourbon on the porch.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'd like to think that people notice my cat-like green eyes before they are overwhelmed by my truckdriver-esque vocabulary...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Tom Robbins, David Sedaris, Augusten Burroughs, Michael Chabon, Rudolf Steiner, Hermann Hesse, books about education, human development, gardening, art & design.

Movies: Wes Anderson, Across the Universe, the Hunger, the Secretary, Chicken Soup with Rice, the Big Night, the Usual Suspects, probably anything with Kevin Spacey, Jud Apatow movies are strangely infectious, and all sorts of documentaries. ( I come from a family of film makers- some great, some awful.)

Shows: Orange is the New Black, the new Sherlock, the Pitch, House of Cards, Wilfred, Mad Men, Anthony Bourdaine and a blur of HGTV and Food Network bullshit that can effectively erase my over stuffed mind.

Music: Typhoon, Bon Iver, Avett Brothers, Dead Weather, Elliott Smith, Wil Oldham, Fiona Apple, Arcade Fire, the Whigs, Jessica Lea Mayfield, MIA, Joni Mitchell, Interpol, Trombone Shorty, The Beatles, NWA, Death Cab for Cutie, Aretha Franklin, Jane's Addiction, the National...

Food: Bitter, spicy, Ethiopian, Indian, Japanese, greens, raw oysters, good bourbon, big reds and hoppy ales.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My children
Hot showers
Music
Sun on my skin
Indian food
Really strong back rubs
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Nothing feels typical yet... maybe something like meeting work friends for happy hour followed by a show at the Cedar or 7th st and a late night dinner... I work with amazing people, but would love to hang out with someone who's not necessarily in the same business.
