My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
In October of 2011, I moved from Boston to Seattle to reboot my life.

I had no job, my housing plans had fallen through, I barely knew two people in town (who were friends of my sister), and I brought only what I could carry with me on the plane.

I had never lived outside of New England.

We get to choose what our lives look like. I'm looking for someone else who wants to choose to build something unique.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a musician/educator, mostly a singer, and I consider myself one of the lucky ones. After I earned my Master's and taught in Boston with the Metropolitan Opera Guild, I decided to quit my job and move cross country to pursue a career in performance. I do the opera thing, some musical theater, and my own singer-songwriter stuff.

Sometimes I do it in crappy bars. Sometimes I do it with famous musicians.

This past year consisted of touring my one man show in Boston and New York, teaching at two local music schools, and a 10 month contract with the Seattle Opera to do a cycle of three world premieres. Let's just say that I keep busy.

This year, I'm traveling to Eugene, OR to sing an opera, and I have my debuts with the Seattle Symphony and Atlanta Symphony (and that's all before June- who knows where I'll be this fall?).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I give a heckuva back massage, and I hold my own in a pun-off.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
How much I look like an INFJ, but I'm really an INTJ. Clearly.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The internet, artistic fulfillment, "me time," some kind of nature, music, the people I choose to have in my life
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My artistic goals, my plans for the next 5 hours, 24 hours, week, season, year, my relationships, Big Ideas, where I've already been and what I've already done.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Typical?

Friday nights in the recent past have included vocal improvisations in a bike tunnel with a group of talented musicians, going out on the town with a drag queen, a stay at home night with coffee ice cream, Dr. Who and the roomies, and singing a gig with the Seattle Opera.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I used to be a Catholic Republican that drank Mountain Dew and was abstaining until marriage. Things change.
