My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Over the past three decades my life and lifestyle have changed dramatically and so has my dating/relationships needs. In my 20's I was in a series of long term relationships with some wonderful women. During my 30's I was more of a dater because I was not looking to have a family or to get married. I was constantly avoiding the land-mines of women who wanted to have children. I was flattered that so many women wanted to have my baby but it wasn't for me. Now that I am in my 40's I am looking to return to a long term relationship status. I am seeking a companion for the long haul - a partner, a friend and a lover. Someone that wants to see the world, maybe build a cottage together and really grow old together.

I am fortunate to have the lifestyle I have and I feel truly blessed because of it. The goals that I have set for myself are starting to come true. Goals such as improved health, long ranged financial stability, extended travel and developing better relationships with friends and family both new and old.

About me...I am a minimalist. I am a walker/hiker 5 times a week. I am a night owl. I am well educated and well mannered. I am entrepreneurial in nature. I come from an ultra conservative family yet I have fairly liberal views based on common sense. Like many of the other men on here, I am well traveled, able to go from a suit to jeans in a flash but prefer comfy clothes over the stiff and rigid. I am innovator and this can be seen in my daily occupation. I believe in having good hygiene, smelling good and trying to stay in good shape (my BMI is 23). I am a fantastic dancer or so I have been told. I am also a good cook. I'm a really easy going person. I enjoy traveling, concerts, movies and shopping.

I'm looking for great woman to spend my life with. Someone who likes to go out and have a good time, but also enjoying staying home watching a great movie and just spending quality time together. Family is very important to me, so I'm looking for someone who is family oriented although I am not looking to have children of my own. That means I am okay with you having kids or not having kids.

Things I like.. laughter, liberal minded, fiscally responsible, people who go camping or cottaging, board games, cuddly cats, dogs that don't sleep in the bedroom, cooking you dinner, discussing economic and political theory and spooning on a lazy weekend afternoon. You should also know I shave my head because I find it easier to wash and blow-dry - yes sometimes I am very funny and will make you laugh.

My music is all over the place. Mumford and Sons, KO, some Opera (Nessun dorma), Neon Trees, Linkin Park, Lisztomania, Mobile,U2, Coldplay, Arcade Fire, Deathcab for Cutie, The Tragically Hip, Pearl Jam, The Killers, Kings of Leon, Broken Social Scene, Pink Floyd, Neil Young, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, The Smiths, New Order, The Cure.

Riddle to start a conversation.....

This thing all things devours:
Birds, beasts, trees, flowers;
Gnaws iron, bites steel;
Grinds hard stones to meal;
Slays king, ruins town,
And beats high mountain down

** If you are looking for sex or fwb move on. I know I am the only guy saying this but I am not looking for just sex. To me sex is highly over rated. I enjoy anticipation and chemistry build up instead of a quick and boring tumble.

*** If I don't respond to an email its because you remind me of my ex. ;)

If I saved you as a favourite and you are interested then favour me back and I will e-mail you.

If after a few dates I really enjoy your company I'll let you know and I expect the same from you. I'm not comfortable with ambivalence and ambiguity and I'm not in the business of wasting anybody's time (including mine). I'm not here to "multi-date" but to meet someone with whom I can share a deep connection. I have tons of confidence that this search will work.
Happiness is just around the corner!
