My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Convincing myself that I'm having a fantastic time living life, feel free to tag along.

Born in New Zealand, moved to England when I was 10, moved to Vienna april 2013

I'm probably an abnormal, yet decent guy with a thriving social life and a smile to boot. I mixed cocktails at a nice job in England, and after getting bored there i moved to Vienna, had a good job in the summer before moving on to a bar job which pays the bills but still lets me socialize. Fun times! I'm easy going, and I've been through enough in life to realise that life isn't always fair, so I should look at the good things I have in life and enjoy them with the people I love.

I have a sense of humour for all, a lot of them sometimes a little inappropriate, but mostly all involving a small amount of wit or wordplay.

I like the countryside, i grew up in it, the city can be exciting always, but I really appreciate a beautiful picturesque landscape.

I'm fascinated by history. Medieval and the world wars in particular. I like exploring churches and castles and walking in the footsteps of people who made them. One of my dreams is to actually just hike around middle-europe going from castle to castle and a tent and some food and just exploring dungeons and towers and keeps. If i find any treasure, i'm going to call dibs.

Nothing else to say really. Any questions; ask away, I'm an open book and I really couldn't care less if someone loses sleep about my life choices.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Been living in Vienna for a year. I'll stay as long as i'm happy and am having a good time.

Other than that, I don't have a definite plan.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'd be lying if I said everything. So in that case, everything.

Always having something to talk about with anyone. Conversation is awesome.

Making and inventing new cocktails when time permits-tasters always wanted.

Looking outside, seeing its dawn, and thinking "i should go to bed now..."

Finding a Zombie preparedness plan wherever i go.

Video games, raging when the internet isn't working.

I can say "show me your boobs" in 9 languages.

I know how to get slapped in 9 countries.

Finding new and inventive ways to waste time.

Making plans, even if that plan is that there will be no plan (thats a plan.. right?)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have no idea.. brown hair maybe? Beard? Big smile? Probably "that guy across the bar who keeps looking at me", yeah let's go with that one.

There was this auto biography by this German soldier in WW1 who i cant remember his name... but it was incredibly moving

Food: I love Indian cuisine, as well as nearly everything else, but mum's cooking always wins. :) I love apple crumble and ice cream.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Sex, beer, friends, nature, my cats back home and the internet.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Zombie apocalypse escape plan for every situation. Needless to say it keeps me from getting bored.

I think about us as concious beings. Why, for example, our conciousness inhabits this particular physical vessel rather than any other body at any point in history (or the future).

I think about death and whats afterwards.

I think about why my life seems to be slipping away at an alarming pace.

And of course whyyyyy do l love cognac so much!?

And then i think about the last two questions and realise theyre probably interlinked.

Lately i've been worried about my drinking and my potential future. But thats a problem for everyone i guess..
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Working. After that? Usually too tired to drink. Night off though? Very drunk.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm scared I might never be truly happy. But God damn I'll try my best. Not sure if i'll ever have a successful future.. As long as my rent is paid and me and my cared ones are fed, that's a good day in my books.

Because of my interest in history, i'm always wanting to ask people what their grandfathers did in the war(s), naturally it can be quite a sensitive subject so my interest is never fully sated.

I never give money to homeless people because where i grew up there were an incredible amount of people who just wanted drugs and booze by choice when work and homeless shelters were readily available. It crushes me how i might actually pass someone who actually needs my help and i'm desperate to change somehow.

I have an astonishingly bad memory, so i keep a 'diary' of my thoughts, emotions and observances, and read them to make sure i dont forget anything.
