My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hello there!

This is me or a good representation of things I like.

Now to properly introduce myself I'm Mike 26 from Liverpool, I graduated a few years back with a degree in Film Studies & Creative Writing which basically meant I spent my time watching things and making things up it was super fun.

Currently I'm struggling to find my way in this life I have some admittedly unlikely dreams and ambitions I'm working on pursuing, they mostly involve film making and becoming a comedian of some kind (either writing or performing).

The most important things in my life are my friends, they come before anything else and I'd be lost without them, hanging out with these guys and talking nonsense is absolutely my favourite thing to do in the world.

I can be slightly awkward when I first meet people, it takes me awhile to warm up though when I do I can be hard to silence. I'm a huge believer in doing something if the story will be worth telling afterwards, making people laugh is a pretty big passion of mine.

I'm a bit of a dreamer and an escapist ,a night owl and politically a lefty idealist though I counter that with some realism usually drilled into me by friends, I quite like a good debate.

I also love going to the cinema, seeing bands live as much as I can and playing videogames a lot (probably too much)

Anyway I'm just looking to meet new people, make friends and see what happens!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now?

Still trying to put it together honestly
Aside from that just trying to have fun.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
If procrastination is an art I am a master of it.

According to the friends I asked I'm known being highly opinionated "almost to a fault" and for my sense of humour, which veers wildly from childlike and silly to harsh, dark and cynical.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Usually it's my hair people tend to mistake me for celebrities whose only similarity to me is having curly hair.

People often say nice things about my eyes too.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I'm going to add a few things here that aren't on the list

Comics/Books :
I somehow read a lot and not enough at the same time, my tastes tend to usually be fantasy/alternative fiction though I also love comedy too. Chuck Palahnuik, Neil Gaiman, Dave Gorman, & Alan Moore are some of my favorite authors and like everybody else I grew up and will forever be a Harry Potter kid.

When it comes to Comics I grew up as a Marvel kid and while Spider-Man will always be my favourite character I've grown to dislike the creative direction of the company lately. More recently I've gotten into DC especially Batman/Green Lantern & I Vampire anything by Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison and Scott Snyder has my interest too.

I've also been exploring the indies lately too specifically Fables, Walking Dead, Saga, Y The Last Man and my beloved Scott Pilgrim.

Movies :
I studied film for essentially five years straight, so to say it's a big interest would be an understatement! My taste range is fairly wide and I'll watch most things the only genre I really dislike is musicals I've just never warmed to them for some reason. I also have a huge soft spot for B-Z list movies the type of thing featured on MST3K often starring Reb Brown or the chin king himself Bruce Campbell and Highlander 2 is legitimately one of my all time favourites. All of that said...

Favourite Films
Pulp Fiction, The Dark Knight, Cornetto Trilogy, The Thing, Goodfellas, Scott Pilgrim, Chasing Amy, Clerks 2, Alien series, (3 is the best one) They Live, The Descent, Pans Labyrinth, El Mariachi Trilogy, most Marvel films (aside from Incredible Hulk), Cabin In The Woods, The Usual Suspects.

Favourite directors
1. Kevin Smith
2. Quentin Tarantino
3. Edgar Wright
4. Guillermo Del Toro
5. Robert Rodriguez

TV Shows :
Breaking Bad is the greatest TV show ever it has been sadly missed. That said I don't watch a tonne of TV shows all my favourites seem to get cancelled prematurely like Pushing Daisies or have finished like Lost, though I do have soft spots for Luther/Dexter. Other stuff I watch :90s Animated Batman, Spaced, Blackadder, Black Books, Red Dwarf, Father Ted, Only Fools and Horses, Porridge, Chappelle's Show, It Crowd, Have I Got News For You, MST3K, Garth Marenghi's Dark Place, Man To Man With Dean Learner anything Dave Gorman/Charlie Brooker get involved with and being a big wrestling fan Monday Night Raw is pretty important to me too.

Videogames : I'm mostly an RPG guy or games that have RPG inspirations, I don't have much time for military shooters or MMOs and gimmicky stuff like Wii U. I've mostly been Playstation kid aside from a brief and ill advised flirtation with Xbox, I'm currently awaiting the arrival of my PS4 with baited breath. Favourite games include :

Final Fantasy VIII, Mass Effect series, Bioshock & Bioshock Infinite (2 sucked), Fallout New Vegas & Fallout 3, Metal Gear Solid series, Assassins Creed series (3 was a massive disappointment though) Persona 4 : The Golden, The Last Of Us, Far Cry 3, Dead Space 2 (again 3 sucked), Uncharted series.

Podcasts : Smodcast, Tell'Em Steve Dave, What Say You?, OSW Review, Keepin' It Reel, We're Alive, Kermode & Mayo.

Comedians : Bill Hicks, George Carlin, Dave Chapelle, Henry Rollins (his comedic stuff anyway), Dave Gorman, Paul Merton, Reginald D. Hunter, & Harry Hill

Music : My taste is tends to be alternative rock/indie with a little bit of metal on occasion and shamefully Taylor Swift lurks hidden on my ipod somewhere favourites include....

Nirvana, The Gaslight Anthem, Electric Six Pixies, The Smiths , R.E.M., The Clash, Rancid, Zoey Van Goey,They Might Be Giants Foo Fighters, Feeder, Green Day, The Joy Formidable, Dave Hause, Biffy Clyro, Spinto Band, The Kills, Dinosaur Jr., Bouncing Souls, Dropkick Murphies, +44
Oh and Africa by Toto is stone cold classic.

Food : Pizza, Pasta, Breakfast food most things with Bacon
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My friends
2. The internet
3. Music
4. Films
5. Videogames
6. Comics/Books
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
"Why do people insist motorsports are interesting?"
"The Walking Dead tv show is terrible"
"I'd really like a nap"
"When is my PS4 going to arrive?"

Honestly pretty stupid things more often than not, one of my habits is remembering something funny from ages ago and laughing to myself and no doubt looking very strange in public.

Also things like comics, videogames, wrestling, films, friends etc.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
More often than not just hanging out at home playing videogames, reading, messing about online or watching films and fairly often some combination of all the above.

Sometimes I'm at the cinema or a gig depending on which bands are around and very very occasionally I might be out for a drink with friends but that really isn't my sort of thing typically.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I once left my house at 3am in the middle of November to steal my neighbors wifi, because I realized late I had to send an urgent message and our internet was off. My neighbor saw me and an awkward conversation followed.

I'm probably one of the few nerdy people that doesn't really care for Dr. Who can't stand Buffy/Angel/Firefly and loathes Deadpool.
