Intelligent, well-read, widely-traveled, great sense of humor and
drama-free. I adore females, and no time is better spent than in
the company of a smart, classy, interesting woman. I am respectful
and considerate, and I know how to treat my lady in public and in
What I’m doing with my life
I am a military intelligence analyst, and I've been in this line of
work for 25+ years. I'm experienced and seasoned, but I'm looking
for another and radically different professional challenge: I am
working on starting my own business as owner-operator of a
I also try to educate myself at all times through self-study
(favorite subjects: history, science, literature, the arts) and
leisure travel. When I have spare time, I will take off on a
spontaneous day trip; when I use vacation time, I want it to count,
and I will try for a longer stay someplace salty, sandy, and sunny.
I’m really good at
Conversation and The Life of the Mind. I appreciate talking to
intelligent people about a range of subjects. And if that sounds
boring, well, I think I can hold my own as a boon companion, out on
the town, looking for a great time that my buddy-for-the-evening
will never forget (although some memories may be a bit hazy, or
perhaps we're going to remember it differently than the
Seriously, though: I'm a social chameleon, and I adapt to fit
circumstances (unless I can change the circumstances to fit ME).
I'm equally at home in a dive bar or at a black tie affair.
The first things people usually notice about me
I am gregarious and outgoing without being obnoxious or
over-familiar. I'm friendly, and as one gets to know me, I believe
my sense of honesty and honor will be apparent.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My favorite book is Shelby Foote's 'The Civil War: A Narrative'.
The most inflential book I've read, the one that made the greatest
impact on me and the way I think, is Ayn Rand's 'Atlas
I have two movies that I love above a very long list of ones that
I've always put on my rotation: 'The Man Who Would be King', and
'The Wind and the Lion'. (Chances are excellent that you've never
seen either, although they each had excellent casts and were
feature presentations, but they're just obscure.) I also like '12
O'Clock High', 'Casablanca', 'The Lord of the Rings Trilogy', 'Band
of Brothers', and too many others to name.
I have several TV shows that I like: 'Dexter', 'Downton Abbey',
I like a very wide range of music. I'm (mostly) done with heavy
metal, and I never really liked rap, and I like country IF it's
live and I'm there (which is mostly how I feel about most
My favorite food could fill a page, so I'll just say this: I love
fine dining, and that includes a great plate of ribs from a
roadside shack or a mom-n-pop tamale shop; it doesn't have to
involve French words or valet parking. So much the better if I'm in
the company of a beautiful woman across the table.
The six things I could never do without
Something to read
A plan for the future
Freedom to live as I wish
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Work...and what I'm going to do when I'm not there.
I am driven to do the best job I can while I'm working, but when
I'm not, I am usually getting something going: a party, a dinner
date, a night at the movies.
On a typical Friday night I am
...out, around, coming, going, enjoying my town and my friends.
With me, there is no 'typical'; it depends on what has been set on
the table in front of me, or what I've discovered that I haven't
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have an enormous appetite for sexual activity. Not in an
insistent, dark and dangerous, 'you-owe-me' entitled way. But I
really enjoy sex, the happy, mutually-enjoyed kind, the type that
leaves you too exhausted to call for room service.
You should message me if
I enjoy women that are FUN, and I mean that in the most expansive
sense. I want to be able to talk to you, show you off, experience
all manner of activities with you, and if we're both feelin' it,
chase you around the sofa until you catch me. Be a positive person,
have a sense of humor, be able to accept a compliment with grace
and a gift with joy, and let me show you how a gentleman that likes
ladies is supposed to comport himself in your very welcome company.
