I'm a small town boy living in the big city. Currently living in the big? town of Eagan. I think of it as a large town because it's 100 times larger than the town I grew up in. I did go to a private Lutheran college but I'd describe myself as a liberal atheist. I work in a typical office environment which I do enjoy but can't say I'll shed a tear when moving on to my next gig.

I'm rather calm and quiet most of the time. I do enjoy to cheer for my local Minnesota teams such as the Vikings and Twins. Have yet to find the excitement of hockey. Sorry Wiild fans. Most people would consider me a geek but I don't follow the timeline of Star Trek or have the desire to dress up for a comic convention. I just enjoy keeping up with the latest techno gadgets and listening to some informative podcasts.

There are many local parks and hiking paths where I can enjoy a lazy stroll. Nobody would confuse me for being a chef but I do enjoy playing Dr. Frankenstein in the kitchen. Most of the time it turns out surprisingly good but sometimes it goes straight into the trash.

I'm just on here looking to meet new people and maybe become friends. Anything more than that would just be icing on the cake.

Right now I'm working in an office with a bunch of great individuals. It's only a temporary situation until I venture to pursue a career more in line with my college education.

I'm really good at tracking down sources for my genealogy research. It's been a passion of mine for about 10 years now in which I've met many nice and unique people.

2 Things people notice:

1. I almost always wear a visor when venturing outdoors. After seeing Steve Spurrier, coaching my favorite collge team of the 90s, Florida Gators, sport a visor while pacing the sidelines I was hooked. Also normal hats matte your hair down which visors don't.

2. I'm not very talkative. I like discussing things but typically conversations wind up on the TMZ level.

Books - Currently I'm reading the books Bourne Identity and the God Delusion. I actually prefer to read non-fiction rather than fiction.

Movies - Anything dark and twisted draws me to the theater. Movies like Coraline and District 9 were movies I enjoyed this past year. Also I'm not turned off from watching an old movie just because it's black & white or a foreign movie because it has subtitles.

Music - Growing up on country and then switching to more of an alternative rock in the 90s. Mixing that with some jam band and hard rock during my college years. Now my favorite musicians are the Dave Matthews Band, Bruce Springsteen and Brandi Carlile.

Food - I love tomatoes so can't go wrong with anything Italian. During the holiday season, I enjoy the traditional Norwegian treats (excluding lutefisk).

I'm usually out at the theater, catching a local sporting event or just at home doing some long put off research.

I actually enjoy and watch animated movies like the Nightmare Before Christmas and Coraline. I enjoy quality movies whether they be animated or not.
