I have not always been this way. Thanks to many kind friends and a good degree of therapy, I realize that I should not conform to your (or anyone else's) expectations. That sounds harsh, but one must be sure of oneself before adding a second to the mix, else one risks losing oneself.
One should also be careful about referring to oneself as "one" LOL
Some notable facts which aren't mentioned elsewhere:
-I don't have a car. I have a license and can drive, but I've never gotten around to getting a vehicle since moving here. The public transit is just too convenient and cars too expensive.
-I'm originally from Kentucky. Moved here in August 2010. Haven't looked back and don't regret it, though I like to think that I've taken the best of Southern gentility and married it to the Western live and let live attitude with none of the racial/gender insensitivity or stupid passive aggressiveness...
-I'm shy. At times painfully, but usually just enough to be noticeable, nothing crippling.
