Your Notes

I am the Dragon Reborn, Wielder of Narya, and Hegemon of Earth.

My Self-Summary

If you'll be my geek Queen, I'll be your nerd vassal.

If the adjectives "sweet" or "normal" could apply to you, I'm not really interested. If you are looking for someone to gaze at with stary eyes, I'm not your guy.

(Warning! Poorly punctuated paragraph ahead:) If you are an alpha female looking for someone you can give your honest opinion too, and who will do the same for you, if you want someone who you can fight with for the thrill of it, sparing with logic and art, if you want, in other words, a true mind-mate, then read on.

My Interests: I enjoy both formulating and analyzing ideas, and I have little patience for small talk that doesn't lead to a more substantive discussion. My interests include acting, reading, writing, theology, science-fiction/fantasy, and British Literature. I couldn't give a wild fig about spelling.

My Values: I am a practicing Catholic, or at least I aspire to be a good one.

My (extensivly studied) Personality: My personality type is INFP, though sometimes I am an INTP. I am not the life of the party, but I know how to have fun as long as I know whomever I'm with is having fun as well. On the personality defect test I switch between the Haughty Intellectual and the Starving Artist. On other tests, I an a NEGOTIATOR/explorer seeking a DIRECTOR. In the Enneagram system, I'm either a 4,5,6,7, or 9. (I can't figure out which).

I spend about every other weekend in MA or NH right now. I am okay with "long distance" (under three hours) as long as it is in the direction of those two states.

What I’m doing with my life

Looking for a job, like everyone else in this thrice-damned economy. In the meantime, I am substitute teaching.

I am currently working out the details of going to grad school. Right now I'm thinking MFA in film acting, but maybe I'll get my Ph.D. in English Lit instead. Both would be fun.

I’m really good at

Acting, Writing, criticizing the writings of others, Reading, procrastinating, reading poetry, discussing ideas, random sappy romantic gestures that will make you glare with scorn.

The first things people usually notice about me

My army of goblin minions set to conquer this puny planet. MWHAHAHAHA!

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Food: Italian food, especially Cheese and pasta, anything chocolate

Music: Classic and Modern Rock, Showtunes. I really like Trans-siberian Orchestra, Led Zepplin, Evanescence, Greenday, Weezer. I recently got into Nightwish and the Killers. Mostly I like individual songs though, rather than a paricular genre or artist.

Movies:Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, many more, but these are the most important. I could include Serenity but I consider that part of Firefly

TV shows: FIREFLY of course, which is the GREATEST Television show of all time. Do NOT argue!!! Heroes, House, Dollhouse.

Books: anything by Terry Prattchett or Roger Zelazny, The Wheel of Time, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Dune, pretty much anything that could never really happen. Recently some Neil Gaiman as well.

Comics: Order of the Stick, The Dark Knight Returns, The Death of Superman, Calvin and Hobbes, Penny Arcade, Dilbert, Foxtrot

Other Literature: Shakespeare, of course. The big six of Romantic poetry-Blake, Wordsworth, Coleridge, Shelly, Keats, Byron. Beowulf, Egdar Allen Poe, Native American Trickster Myths, and most of all, the poems of Gerard Manley Hopkins.

Computer games: Warcraft, Age of Empires, Alpha Centauri, Nox, Civ IV, FF7

Board and Card games: Risk, Axis and Allies, Hearts, Settlers of Catan

Things I would like to learn: Role-playing/Dungeons and Dragons, Stage-combat/Medival dueling, Larping, Astronomy, Anime and other geeky activities.

The six things I could never do without

The Church, Family, Friends, Books, Acting, and Cheese

I spend a lot of time thinking about

To me, the universe is God's art project, and it needs to be picked apart, analyzed, categorized, and intuited. Nothing is worth anything until you see it as a source of ideas and inspiration. The unexamined life is not worth living.

On a typical Friday night I am

Planning how to change the world with my friends...at least, until we get bored and just end up playing Risk. So in a way, we do end up changing the world, just not the real one.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I won't say I have no secrets, but I don't have many. This section will be too long if I say much more.

I've discovered, at least intellectually that you can't have your cake and eat it too. If you want to know what I mean by this in this context, ask me. Or don't. I'll probably tell you anyway.

You should message me if

--You like science-fiction and/or fantasy.

--You like to debate and discuss academic and philosophical ideas.

--If asked where you want to go or what you want to do, you do not give some version of "I don't know" or "Whatever you want."

--You are not divorced, married, a mother, or already in a relationship.

--You are not hostile to organized religion. (Notice I did not say you had to be religious).

--You have at least one clear picture of yourself in your profile.

--You are between 21 and 31.

--You find me attractive.

--Via your well developed psychic abilities, you know that I find you attractive.

PS: You don't nessisarily have to message me first. I'm very much okay with being "im"-ed out of the blue.
