You might consider me the classic introvert. I work best on a one-on-one or small group basis. I don't care for live music, outdoor sports, or drinking coffee, which practically gives me minority status here in Seattle. I'd rather have food and conversation with interesting and intelligent people, or go browsing for used books.
For work, I write and edit books. I have published two books, and I have a few more roaming around in my head. I love working with the written word, and I feel lucky to have job that I find both challenging and satisfying. I find linguistics, political science, and propaganda fascinating.
I purchased my first home at the beginning of the year, so I've spent a lot of time settling in and sorting things out. I finally get to set up my personal library; I have a lot of books!
I have a keen interest in Freemasonry and its occult offshoots, the OTO and the Golden Dawn. The ideals of truth, strength, beauty, and fraternal love resonate with me. I think a lot about morals and ethics. I feel I can improve the world around me by improving myself, by acting in a responsible and compassionate manner.
I consider myself an eclectic neo-pagan. I believe in some pretty weird shit about how the universe works, such as animism and anontology. I also believe in a truly secular society, so I don't care if you share my beliefs as long as you respect them. I do write books and essays on this subject, so you'll need an open mind to hang out with me.
One of my dates on OK Cupid gave me this dating advice, and I really agree with it:
I want to go out on dates and meet new people. I prefer not to waste time trading carefully-worded emails. Let's go!
