My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Well, I don't really know what to say here that isn't covered in the rest of the profile, but: I'm a pretty shy and quiet dude. I don't want to go around self-identifying as a "nerd" but I suppose I'm into some pretty nerdy stuff. I've always lived around here and I almost never get out of town, although I wish I could.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have a full-time job that's not really worth talking about. I'm still trying to figure out where I'm going to go from here.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
remembering stuff. Names, faces, trivia. Dates, times, numbers. I'm carrying a large chunk of iMDB around in my head. I guess you'd call that "detail-oriented". I'm intermittently funny.
The first things people usually notice about me

I don't know. I don't get noticed much. I should've put that under "I'm really good at".
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I read mostly literary fiction and some sci-fi and a little non-fiction. Some of my favorite writers are Kurt Vonnegut, David Foster Wallace, George Saunders, Warren Ellis, Douglas Adams, Stephen King and Neal Stephenson.

I really could talk about movies forever. I watch almost anything I can get my hands on as long as it's worthwhile; indies, foreign films, B-movies, superhero movies, anything. Some favorites: Groundhog Day, American Graffiti, Fargo, The Matrix, The Departed, There Will Be Blood, Scanners, They Live, 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Evil Dead, Alien, Clue and many many more.

I don't watch a whole lot of TV; I don't have cable and I'm pretty selective about what I watch. Community, Parks and Recreation, Bob's Burgers, The Daily Show, Sherlock, Mad Men, Hannibal. And The Simpsons is an all-time favorite but I don't watch the new stuff. I take it back, I guess I watch a lot of TV.

Most of the music I like is loud, weird and/or old. Bob Dylan, Frank Zappa, Pink Floyd, Sonic Youth, Talking Heads, Mastodon, Clutch, Dillinger Escape Plan, Queens of the Stone Age and anything Mike Patton does. Also, because of my job I listen to a lot of podcasts, like My Brother My Brother and Me, The Bugle, Walking The Room, Welcome To Night Vale and a bunch of others.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I worry about the future a lot, both personally and on a global scale. And I've been pretty nostalgic lately, which is an embarrassing thing to admit.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
probably at home, having a drink and watching a movie or playing whatever videogame I'm into that week. I guess lately I've been getting out a little more.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My dating/relationship experience is pretty limited. I've had a lot of bad luck and missed opportunities and my confidence isn't great.
