My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
This is a weird, yet necessary, demand. To answer this requires a self-evaluation I don't think I'm ready to share with others. Just kidding. Like any procrastinator I decided to open up an old account instead of finishing a paper that was due yesterday. I'm super busy being a full-time student and working full-time, plus I bike ride rather than drive, so I'm usually just home for sleep and I'm out and about the rest of my lucid time.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a student at utsa double majoring in philosophy and english. I currently work with special needs and my goal is to go on to graduate school to study library science. I love the idea of an institution dedicated to storing and sharing information, plus I really like how books smell.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Reading, occasionally writing (when the stars align), listening, talking, playing with dogs, flying kites, and preparing for the singularity, which of course has happened, will happen, and is happening.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Sometimes my beard makes me look like a latin Karl Marx.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

It's hard to choose favorites. I love science fiction but I'll read regular fiction too. I especially love Kurt Vonnegut, Chuck Palahniuk (not gonna lie, I had to google his name for the spelling), Philip K. Dick, Thomas Pynchon, Ursula Le Guin, Camus, Sartre, Kafka, John Wong, etc. I do tend to read non-fiction as well, like Jon Ronson, compilations of philosophical pamphlets, and Hunter Thompson (though he blurs the fiction/non-fiction line). Occasionally I'll read some poetry. Sylvia Plath is my favs. Named my pup Plath cause I found her in an oven.
I like most genres of movies but I'll usually watch a movie just once. Movies I don't mind watching again: Snatch, Rock'n'Rolla, Goodfellas, various horrors that deal with SATAN!!!, etc.
My heart beats to many rhythms but I mostly like rock and hip hop. I do have a Jazz fetish and sometimes I like to surf the web or read while listening to classical music. I'm not really a fan of country and what spotify has labeled "cafe" music.
I don't have cable but I download shows and sometimes watch Netflix.
I really like Mediterranean food.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My dog, laptop, bike, bed, backpack, and the collection of dwindling clothes I have.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How pointless everything is, but not in a depressing way. When I started realizing every meaning is subjective the world started becoming more comical. I also may be going mad. I say this to fight going mad because one of the characteristics of a mad person is denial of one's madness (or thinking it's everyone else who is mad). Mad. What, me worry?
And chess. I play chess a lot.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Studying and going to bed early to catch up on lost sleep. Occasionally catching a live show. I'm a sucker for a good rock show.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm illiterate and I don't really speak all the languages I claim. I grew up all over this city but within 410, so I consider myself very much a San Antonian. Junot Diaz often includes a nerdy urban/ghetto/hoodrat/whatever character in his stories and that's what I find myself relating to. A lot. Being in the habit of reading global news can really take a toll on my psyche, so when that happens I browse here:

You're bored, curious, would like to talk to a stranger, or found hidden goods and need a partner in crime. I'm no stranger to the law, so I'm down for a little bit of trespassing and hood rat humbuggery. Also, if you truly are bored, as most internet wanderers are, then I have a little corner for you:
It's nothing special, just a little weird.
