My name is Serhend, I was born and raised in Springfield, MA. Went to The School of Visual Arts in NYC, and I make a lot of art.

aside from being engaged and involved in art, design, film, literature, and academia I like traveling a lot; I'm far more of a backpacker than a tourist. I'm a gamer, but not as much as when i was younger.

I'm an art teacher teaching ages 8-12 how to make comics at a museum, columnist for a blog, and foremost a cartoonist. I'm currently editing a comics anthology and studying for the teacher's exam which i'll be taking soon to teach middle school art, which i'm looking forward to teaching more regularly. I make my own comics and scrounge for freelance work in between all that.

Working with kids, making art, making comics, writing, film criticism, comics criticism, politics, arguing, gaming, and other "geeky" endeavors.

Movie: Lots of Movies, even the ones I hate.

Shows right now: Fareed Zakaria GPS, PBS documentaries, Frontline, Nurse Jackie, Game of Thrones, Locked Up Abroad, TMNT, Regular Show, American Dad, and Bob's Burgers.

As a kid(7yo) I once imitated chimps on National Geographic by licking a stick, sticking it into a anthill and eating the ants...yeah i went through this "I'm one with nature" phase as a kid.
