My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Dating is a lot like sifting through the DVD bargain bin...you have to sort through a lot of Pauley Shore movies before you get to the Tom Hanks. So here I am sifting through and hoping to find that woman who doesn't need to be on here, but is anyway. Is that you? If you think it might be then read on...

Some of the words I've heard out of my friends' mouths about me are: witty, goofy, caring, reliable, and genuine...but then again, they might just be kissing my ass, right? I'm modest so you'll rarely catch me giving self praise, but I habitually point out the beautiful traits of those I know. I love to laugh and make others laugh, so you might want to pack some Depends because there's a possibility you'll pee yourself. I love clean sheets, exploring nature, the use of ellipses, the sound of ice skates on ice, the smell of baking cookies, the ocean, the south of France, witty intelligence, beer snobbery, and the word "defenestration". I am a hopeless romantic, a passionate and tormented writer at heart, who is venturing into the medical realm and wondering if I should just leave it all and start a farm somewhere. Or maybe sail around the world aimlessly. I don't know. I do know that I believe in true love, the electricity of touch, and that there is a real partner in crime for me somewhere out there. I believe in passion, the arts, long bouts of kissing, and standing up for your loved ones.

I'm looking for the kind of woman who knows what she wants, and she doesn't play games. She is smart, funny, caring, and loves good hugs. I don't want a woman who needs to party all the time, yet I don't want a home-body either. Physical attraction and sexual chemistry are part of a good relationship, but there needs to be a spark and that comes from within. The woman I'm looking for is comfortable with herself, doesn't get jealous easily, and understands the give-and-take of a good relationship. My grandfather once told me to never trust a woman who doesn't swear or drink beer...I'd say he was a wise man and I like my women to swear and be able to put back a few. I'm open to all types of women, so message me and let's see what happens.

Although you don't need to fit all of these to be my match, here are some of my likes and dislikes in a woman:

LIKES: long hair, quirky sense of humor, great smile, family-oriented, plays an instrument (the drums are especially sexy), knows how to drive a stick shift, freckles, loves cuddling, interesting teeth (that doesn't mean gross teeth or missing teeth), can enjoy a beer, likes traveling, enjoys being lazy at home on occasion, likes camping and the outdoors, animal lover, secure in her skin, shows off her natural beauty, appreciates a sexual connection, actually read every bit of this profile (extra points for that!)

DISLIKES: workaholic, alcoholic, druggy, crappy self-esteem, layers of make-up, flighty, superficial, argumentative, dishonest, hates kids
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I tell people at my high school reunions that I'm a rocket surgeon...or was that a brain scientist? Either way its more exciting than saying I'm an EMT and that I'm getting ready to apply to medical school.

I perform improv comedy in Newport and I have been kicking around a novel in my head for years now. I just need to get it on paper...hmmm...

I'm also constantly looking for a project of something to fix, or some random item to repurpose. Give me some junk and I'll find some use for it

Update: I just started learning the banjo!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Writing, sleeping, remembering useless facts, throwing emoticons in here and there, working with my hands, over-analyzing, procrastinating, making people laugh, singing badly in the car, being goofy on stage, cooking, beer snobbery, remembering important dates, improvising, making lists (see above), hugs, kissing, being an EMT, talking to the elderly, playing with kids
The first things people usually notice about me

My mellow eyes...people often tell me later that they thought I was stoned when they first met me. Nope, I was born with these eyes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I'm a fan of all music except country and really heavy metal...no screaming thank you, you should have been hugged more as a child...
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Since this is a list of six "things" and I don't consider the people or animals in my life to be things, here is my list:

Passion - for a person or activity or life
Ellipses...if you couldn't tell already
The arts - visual, performing, literary, and musical
The ocean - give me that salty air and an unobstructed horizon
Human touch
Ctrl Alt Del
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why I shouldn't hassle the Hoff...oh, and what Meatloaf won't do for love...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Wasted in an alley, french-kissing a hobo, and trying to figure out where my pants went...nooo, not really but that would be pretty interesting and certainly something for the "most private thing I'm willing to admit" section...

Ok, so I don't have a "typical" especially since I work a 16hr shift on Saturday. I can be anywhere from hanging in at home, to having a few drinks out with friends, to enjoying the night on the beach. It all depends and I like to keep things different
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My very first concert was the New Kids On The Block, or NKOTB as the cool girls called them...yeah having a younger sister can come with trouble and years of repressing memories like that concert

You're tired of shitty guys and crappy dates, and you're actually looking for someone of substance for something meaningful and fun

You don't fit into the category of what Holden Caulfield would call a "phony"...oh, and you even know what that means...

You know how to put a sentence together without using "wat up?" or "holla"...although those are very comical
