My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm eccentric and earnest and very, very shy. I love the outdoors and I read a lot of good books (and a lot of bad books). I'm incredibly stubborn and generally pretty happy, although I'm prone to some crippling social anxiety at times. I love to travel and to learn and eat good food.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Dog and child training! (Really sort of the same thing, but don't say that to the parents)
I have a dog-training business in my hometown, and I work at the local daycare. Sometimes I spend part of the winter volunteering at a school for Burmese Refugee children in Northern Thailand, and sometimes I spend part of it traveling in the Yukon's mountains. I write. I have adventures.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Writing surreal stream of consciousness poetry. Having mad tea parties (sometimes these are naked. Don't be weird about it). Making sense of the world through metaphor and symbolism (not really making sense of the world at all). Overcoming anxiety (I have a lot of practice with this). I'm good with animals and children, but adults sometimes make me stumble. And bore me.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Usually they notice me when I'm apologizing to them for stepping on their toes, spilling coffee on them, calling them by the wrong name or asking them inappropriately metaphorical questions...that kind of thing. I'm very clumsy - physically and socially - but I am also very, very sincere. People do not always know what to make of this.
I sometimes make sexually suggestive comments and am totally unaware that I am doing so. This is followed by wide-eyed and effusive apologies.
Also, I overshare.

Food:
I love to try new and unusual foods. I'm allergic to an annoying number of things...just ask if you're interested. I love sushi, curries, tea (!), coffee (!!), interesting liqueurs (anything that you have to explore the taste a little to decide if it's good or bad, and then it just kind of grows on you, and it burns a little...)
Really anything new and unusual that isn't going to land me in the hospital.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Good stories, coffee, adventures, a sense of humor, freedom and good friends.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Fairytales, nakedness, freedom, family, gods, monsters under the bed, shadows, spirits, people, anxiety, mental illness, new ways of thinking, new ways of being, dog training, children training, playing, stargazing (do I think about stargazing? I'm sorry, that's more of a metaphorical thing...I don't really think about stargazing), dreams, symbolism, metaphors, poetry, words, stories.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Campfires with friends, dressing up in ridiculous clothes, skinny dipping in the (cold!) river, drinking good rum, camping, hiking.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't have any real experience dating. Crippling shyness and the late realization that I like girls have had something to do with that.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You want to talk about stories or ideas, if you want to go out for good food or good alcohol or an adventure, if you're looking for more than sex, but also sex. I'm interested in relationships, but I'm pretty open about what that can mean.
