If you want to get to know someone, don't ask them what they do, ask them why they do it. You'll learn more than you wanted to know, and quickly.

I started life as the biggest nerd ever. At some point I guess I got tired of it. Now, though I still remember nerdy things, I thrive more in creative endeavors. I'm a street and modeling photographer. I've shot for everyone from friends without money at all, to Frederick's of Hollywood. I also spent several years touring locally with a band. Cliche, I know, but c'est la vie.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Documenting large portions of it with my DSLR camera, and translating the rest of it into music. Working hard to get in better shape.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Explaining things. Making people feel comfortable and happy.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably my height. 6'6" is hard to miss. Occasionally I get compliments on my eyes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

(a) Where the Red Fern Grows; Star Strike; Surely You're Joking Mr. Feynman; Hyperspace; A Confederacy of Dunces; The More Than Complete Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy; The Odyssey, by Homer; Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid etc ...

(b)Pretty much anything by Stanley Kubrick, Monty Python and some others. Firefly/Serenity. Star Trek kicks ass. If you disagree, I will be forced to kill you ... in a few decades ... through a heinously slow mechanism called "aging". Yeah, that's right; it's MY fault you get old. What'cha gonna do about it, gramps? (It's also my fault the wind blows ... but that was an accident involving a Volvo and three un-paired sweat-socks your mom bought me last summer, I swear!)

(c)Some music saved as MP3s on my computer include these artists/songs/albums: Pink Floyd; Red Hot Chili Peppers; The Doors; Radiohead; En Los Jardines Espana (Falla's three movements); Norah Jones; Mint Royale; Led Zepplin; The Very Best of Sting and The Police; Eric Clapton; much of the work by Jerry Goldsmith, John Williams and Dennis McCarthy; Vertical Horizon; Smash Mouth; Aerosmith; Gotan Project; Mattias "Ia" Eklundh; The String Cheese Incident covers of Birdland and Take Five as well as the original by The Dave Brubeck Quartet; and Sundance Kid by Kent, anything by The Knife, Röyksopp, or Lykke Li.

(d) (I'm vegetarian, so bear that in mind.) I sometimes eat gluten free as my family does it. But I have a soft spot for the usual vegetarian junk foods with cheese. That must be why I have to work so hard to stay in shape. hah

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Kindness, my amazing friends, my camera (it's my baby), beautiful moments with people/things (I love capturing moments of pure emotion), curiosity and laughter.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Other people and their motives which both fascinate and frustrate. (or sometimes inspire) Logic. Mathematics. Physics. Photography. The math and physics involved with photography. Morality. How the world would look through someone who's opinions are opposite my own. Ways to better myself.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably talking with friends and acquaintances. I LOVE being out and being social and I do it as often as possible.

Then again, a night in with some mary jane is always nice.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Wild birds talk to me, and sometimes land on my finger, as if I'm a Disney Princess. I'm not sure what to make of that.
