This thing got long.

Putting a creative writing degree to good use... at a tech firm that does behavioral analytics. The people are smart and my conversations are real interesting.

Also getting a business off the ground devoted to channeling resources to NYC Public School art classes by making limited runs of product with local designers. (Message me if you're an art teacher or PS administrator or designer and want more details. This is not a date-getting ruse of any sort. Happy to give you info without strings attached.)

I fussed with my books section for a while (am I naming books, or just authors? am I categorizing? would explanations be helpful? this site sends me down the dumbest mental rabbit holes ever) before giving up and just cranking it out in one free-associative go without revisions. So you can read these selections and their placements like a Rorschach test for my brain and its neural connections if you want. If you see any intrinsic logic, you're insane too. Let's grab that drink.

Favorite people making music today are Andrew Bird and Spoon. My cousins from central PA would say my taste is "hipster shit." But then I also listen to classic rock and everything in that weirdo Talking Heads kind of middle ground.

How I feel about compromise.

Whether I should be stockpiling supplies (sacks of grain, canned fruit, penicillin) in some rural stronghold for the civilization crash that's coming in the next couple of years.

Out somewhere, maybe on the divey end of the spectrum. Hopefully there's a jukebox around. I'm probably hashing out / evangelizing / arguing about the stuff in my books etc section.
