My Self-Summary
I'm an awesome guy (I'm not just saying that- friends and strangers
alike agree). I love music, ranging from the 50s through the 90s,
and even some recent stuff. I also love pro wrestling, but not as much as
I used to. I love making people laugh and just being myself around other
people. Speak your mind when you're around me. Even if it's
something that you think I may not like to hear, I'd rather you
come out and say what's on your mind rather than have a fake
relationship with me. If you find yourself agreeing with anything
in this, then, just like Forrest Gump and Jenny, we could get along
just like peas and carrots (assuming that you like peas and carrots
together).
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a UF graduate w/ a BS degree (no, really, that's what they call
it) in journalism. Now, I'm a teacher, going
into my 4th year in August. I teach English II and Intensive
Reading block classes, and it's an incredibly hard challenge. Even
though teaching is hard, I have to admit it feels really good to
see that lightbulb go on when you're teaching and you see first
hand that you're making a difference.
I’m really good at
I would say making people laugh. Everybody that I know really
enjoys my sense of humor.
Other than that, I would say impressions of celebrities (wrestlers, movie characters, actors, musicians, you name it). Ever tried talking like Christopher Walken while renting a DVD? Yeah, I have! Also, my extensive knowledge about wrestling, music, and movies is CRAZY!!! I've watched wrestling for 18 years, and I used to work at Blockbuster. And I am a rock 'n' roll connoisseur- I know artists, song titles, albums, release dates, all kinds of crazy stuff that doesn't help your score on the SAT, but does wonders in games like Scene It and Trivial Pursuit.

The first things people usually notice about me
My sense of humor. I like making people who are having a bad day
start laughing uncontrollably. That makes me smile =). Mylong hair
used to get comments ... but that's gone. Now, the people I know
notice the hair, but that's because it's different from what it's
been like for the last 4 or 5 years.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
(A) I don't usually get to read too much because work keeps me
busy. But the ones I do really enjoy are Walk This Way by Aerosmith and Have a Nice Day by Mick
Foley. I also really dig stuff by James Patterson.

The six things I could never do without
1) Family
and friends (I'm counting them as one because they're one and
the same), 2) My
faith, 3) My music and movies, 4) Love, 5) Technology (cell
phone, laptop, Internet)... "I love technology, but not as much as
you, you see, but I STILL love technology, always and forever" (if
you get the reference, you should probably message me =), and 6)
professional wrestling (I've been watching it since 1990, so I
think life would just be weird without it now, haha.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Different lessons I can teach my students and how to get more
sleep. I also think a lot about my faith and my strong, moral
character, and how ridiculously hard it is to find somebody that
I'm attracted to that feels the same way.
On a typical Friday night I am
It depends on the week. Sometimes, I go out with some teacher
friends and other times I'm in Orlando hanging out with some
friends at a party or at this AMAZING club we go to that plays 80s
hair metal. And then, unfortunately, there are those weekends that
I'm so tired, that I have the TV on and I pass out from pure
exhaustion with it on. Needless to say, I enjoy the previous two
options more =)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I don't like games. If you have something to say, just say it- I
hate it when people beat around the bush and are not honest with
me. I don't like being led on. I have a bunch of friends. I'm on a
dating website because I'm looking for a relationship. I'm not
opposed to friendship per se, and I do believe that it's better to
be friends with someone first before being in a relationship, but
I'm not really looking for only friends.
It's difficult to find someone who has similar goals and beliefs to me, and while some people think that I have too many requirements when looking for a potential mate, I just hold them to the same standards that I hold myself to. (I know I shouldn't end a sentence with a preposition, but screw it, it's my profile, I'll do what I want =)
