My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
First of all, Dutch is my first language, but my written English is better, which is why I use it here. Second, my name is Brandon, and I despise my username here, but I can't seem to change it freely ;).

Cogito ergo sum.

I know that sounds pretentious, but the dude had a point, all right. Besides being thinking entities humans share another distinctive trait: flexibility. Me is so flexible that I will not even try to summarize it right here. Ask and you may receive...
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Mature student right here. I'm a philosophy bro studying and living in Utrecht. I recently handed in my thesis on Kant's critical philosophy pertaining to determining the existence of God. Currently I'm thinking about which master to follow next year! I totally dig philosophy, and most of my friends (especially whilst being intoxicated) do too. If you are reading this and feel a pressing urge to convince me that we in fact do have a free will, God exists, absolute morals exist, love is more than a chemical chain reaction and whatnot, please do. Individuals who make active use of their cerebra are sexy as hell (not that hell exists, or does it)?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
• Understanding terribly vague and badly written (but brilliant) pieces of philosophy. Kant, anyone?

• Reading body language, or recognizing the rules that we (sub)consciously apply to human interactions (i.e. social dynamics).

• Eating large quantities of food.

• Performing fitness-wise, especially when combined with rap music (preferably 50 cent or Lloyd Banks).

• Drawing faces, or so I am told.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
• Short, but muscular (I still wonder why my mother left the USA in order to study here. I feel like a giant over there!).

• Not typically Dutch (25% Romanian, 25% American and 50% Dutch).

• Totally self-deprecating.

• Smartass.

• Having 'swag' (usually meant as a compliment, but quite lame in my view).

Since I clearly am a filmomaniac, this is a waste of time. Let's say I generally do not dig Westerns or overly romantic films.

• Dexter (Morgan, that is).
• Breaking Bad.
• Californication.
• The Walking Dead.
• Modern Family.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
• Thoughts.
• (physical) intimacy.
• Music.
• Hot water.
• Friends.
• Humor.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Ways to think less. Seriously. When the philosophy lectures are done, I find all kinds of ways to achieve this. Beer helps. So does exercise.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either in a club or café with my buddies, or just relaxing at home with my roommates.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I once earned 40 Euros in 15 minutes while performing as a (nearly) naked butler, and I have been to a swingers club once. (Yes, it was weird, but weird things now and then keep me alive!)

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You have more to say than "Hi, how are you?". In other words: if you are interesting and fun enough, I will respond.

You study or are in love with philosophy and need to share your thoughts.

You despise Bill O'Reilly just as much as I do.

You are addicted to Documentary Heaven as well.

You would like to have fun at a good party!
