My Self-Summary
Poltically, I'm a liberal-leaning middle of the roader. A really compatible life partner would be great, but in the meantime, lovers or just friends would be fine. No one night stands, though. I'm not looking for just sex. I'm in great health and would like to keep it that way, so safe sex is a concern. My take on the meaning of life is pretty well summed up by the Monty Python movie with the same name; it's a personal thing! So give me a try. What have we got to lose?

My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Music: Love classical and ethnic music: Bach, Mozart and Shostakovich in the privacy of my bedroom; Puccini and Rachmaninoff, classic rock, R&B, and jazz for makeout music. I also like celtic, klezmer, and balkan.
Books: I'm an avid reader of (mostly non-fiction) books about philosophy, science, history and religion. I like the writings of Marcus Borg and Bishop Spong; books on science, cosmology and evoution by Christian writers like Kenneth Miller, Francis Collins and Paul Davies, and even atheist authors like Dawkins, Dennett, Harris, and Hitchens. I'm a particular fan of Viktor Frankl, the Austrian shrink and concentration camp survivor, who believed that the quest for meaning, however we define it ourselves, is what life's all about.
Food: I like Thai, Chinese and Mexican.
