Okay, I'm writing this mainly because they said it would help to complete my profile and get me more dates. What more can I say?

You probably picked up that I was married, for thirty-seven years. She was the love of my life, we had four kids, I wouldn't have traded a minute of it, and would do anything to have her back. Which is a little hard to reconcile, I know, with being gay. I took the orientation test, and came out "bi" with a strong gay tilt, which fits my own sense of where I am. I did the hetero thing, and now I'm exclusively interested in guys, because dating another woman would remind me too much of my wife. I'm looking for the whole relationship--ultimately a monogamous one, although I also do platonics with the right guy.

As for the meaning of life, I think the Monty Python movie did a good job summing up my take. I'm an Okie existentialist, and have decided that the meaning of my life is "peace, love and understanding", as opposed to "sex, drugs, and rock n' roll", but won't turn down the sex or the rock n' roll in the right circumstances.
