I am active, assertive, and direct.
My Self-Summary
I grew up in Indiana and am the youngest of four siblings. After
graduating high school, I married and had two daughters. I divorced
when they were in high school and then entered college. I received
a BA in Sociology and then received a Masters degree in social
work. I recently moved to Oregon as I have had a long standing
desire to live within short distance of mountains and the ocean. I
love
hiking,
mountain
biking,
exploring,
nature and the
outdoors,
plants,
reading,
solitude,
intimate relationships,
sociology,
intellectual
discussions,
sci-fi, and
learning new things. I am in
the middle between an introvert and extrovert, gaining energy from
both being with others and being alone. Relationships are extremely
important to me. I love spending time with my daughters and have
close relationships with them.
What I’m doing with my life
I totally enjoy my work and career providing mental health services
to adolescents and want to continue to improve my skills at being
an adolescent specialist. I believe in personal growth and am
actively involved in doing the things that I want to do and
enjoying myself to the fullest.
I’m really good at
direct communication, self awareness, listening, reading and being
aware of myself and others, making things happen for myself.
The first things people usually notice about me
my laugh, my directness, how real I am and their comfort level with
me

The six things I could never do without
My daughters, nature, solitude, exercise, ability to move, freedom
to choose.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
where I can go hiking and exploring, wondering about life and its
mysteries, my daughters, self care, furthering my skills in my job
On a typical Friday night I am
depending on the season, I am either engaged in an outdoor
activity, reading, watching a movie, or spending time with friends
or family.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
My personality encompasses many opposites...gentle and tough, open
minded and strongly opinionated, warm and yet able to detach,
accepting of others yet demanding, friendly and yet possess high
expectations for my intimate friendships. Others are sometimes
scared of me. I am able to burn bridges.
